I've read the whole run of the Snyder/Capullo Batman so far, and I don't remember that Mister Freeze development. Was that in Detective Comics or some other Bat-book? Also, Harper/Bluebird has barely been in Batman. Are we actually talking about Batman Eternal?

I admit I haven’t been keeping up with the Batman Beyond comics recently, but I don’t think they killed McGinnis. It’s been announced that he’s back in the suit for the next story arc.

Speaking of which, I kind of like that Bruce Wayne drives an old Aston Martin in BvS. Reminds me of Batman’s “original” car.

I was totally convinced that was Jason Todd/Red Hood, so I can testify to this. Flash makes more sense of course, given the time-portal-ish thing he appears out of. The DC fan in me was totally excited about those admittedly tiny cameos, though, especially given the overwhelming dourness of the rest of the film.

“Principle Waller?” You know what you doing, DC.

Still the wrong guy. The 1989 Batman movie batmobile was designed by Anton Furst.

You pretty much HAVE to take advantage friendly fire. Move behind one of the Red Dudes to use him as cover, then take the other two out while they’re lining up their next shots. Then all you have to do is deal with the shotgun Dudes who are pointed directly at the opening elevator door, haha.

Judging by the silhouettes in that preview, it’s going to involve some older incarnations of certain characters. Looks like classic Wally West and Superboy for sure, plus a member of the Green Lantern Corps. I’m assuming the hooded figure is one of the Arrows (Connor maybe?). The rightmost figure is obviously

I clicked a Gundam-related article, knew the top comment was going to be Jango!

Is it a rule that every action figure or statuette of a female character has to have breasts at least five times larger than in the original media? Spider-Gwen and Fran are especially embarrassing in this regard.

To me, Ash seems to represent the argument that it’s okay to play Pokemon the way you want, rather than following the min/max template prescribed by elite-tier tournament play. It’s a metaphor for life, as I’m sure others in this thread have pointed out.

It's been a few years since I read them, but the first books were important to me because Cornwell spends time explaining aspects of life in the time period that are both interesting to the reader and important to the daily realities of the characters.

Wait. What? When? How?

Think I’m going to use this to get the Wes Anderson Collection I’ve been eyeing for a while.

Brigador really gives me a Future Cop: L.A.P.D. vibe for some reason.

How are you going to diss Luke in full-blown Jedi garb— minding-tricking people, slicing up speederbikes, blocking laser blasts, and rocking the single black glove? Back off, RotJ-haters.

Yeah, "What Can I Do" (a.k.a. "Tower of Mistakes") is still my favorite. Would love to hear a full version on some sort of compilation album.

I think I also bought them initially because they were a couple bucks apiece on my Kindle, haha. A great investment, it turns out. I'm on the seventh book myself— you can probably grab the hardcover for a handful and change from the bargain section of any given Barnes & Noble.

As a fan of Bernard Cornwell's "Saxon Chronicles," I was confused in discovering the new editions at my bookstore were marked "The Last Kingdom" ("Is this a new series?"), excited to discover they were getting a live-action adaption, and mortified that I hadn't learned about this sooner.
