A lot of this happened when apple forced all apps to be 64-bit. Years old games ended up getting canned because I’m guessing the publishers didn’t see it as worth the effort to update the apps from 32-bit to 64-bit

Publishers spend 25-50% of a total budget strictly for marketing. It’s ridiculous. I’m guessing Capcom isn’t getting a decent ROI on that anymore.

Only this gen. Last gen was an issue with the system firmware needing to be “x.xx” for the disc to be read, then many games will not work without the day one patch or missing elements. Fallout 4 is an example of this oddity.
