This argument is nonsense at this point. No game to my understanding is pushing enough data at the same time to saturate an SSD, let alone a 7200rpm HDD.

There was an interview from the early 2000's that gave insight to this. The gaming industry takes this to an extreme. There was an old pc magazine/site that posed the question, why aren’t file sizes optimized anymore and the argument was that with pc components getting cheaper for greater capacity and performance,

Seems like 95% of devs lately

The problem has a few folds. Bethesda has never had an optimized game at launch. We also know that most games that aren’t on console are packaged in a heavily unoptimized state. Its why we have performance mods that not only cut down on file sizes, but increase performance on a multitude of machines

Not developers, publishers. We need to get this right. Publishers have a lot of control and say over pricing, distribution, and development process.

The community manager for PH was joking about making a YT competitor for the longest time. I wonder if that idea is still being tossed around with the amount of gaming content on there.

The style of the current mickey cartoons. Many figure its due to the OG Mickey TM expiring and getting something that looks close enough to the old one allows them to fight and keep the existing TM

Than you also had:
* The introduction of Ultra 2
* using Ultra 1 and 2 together in a match
* Minor UI changes
* Red focus attacks
* FADC changes

I’m surprised so many people purchased after supposedly boycotting the company

Despite it not being everyones favorite, I’m glad this took the top spot. Easy for everyone to pick up and play at all levels and it’s still one of most hype games to watch high level play for.

I like how you guys gave up with SF4 and didn’t include all 4-5 versions of it. Vanilla 4 and Ultra 4 are vastly different games. Same with SF5.

Not only that but the villians win during the first half

If we want to talk about growth and  involvement of characters, nothing scratched that itch like FFT. To date, I personally think its the best FF story bar none.

Even story aside, gameplay is insanely generic. Swapping materia to most characters made them play very similarly, if not exactly like the others.

Hate the fact that people don’t look at FFVII without the nostalgia goggles. I get why its beloved, it was most peoples first JRPG and most peoples Final Fantasy, but it is far from the best.

What would be different other than graphics at that point? What was the last great selling traditional turn based JRPG

This would actually be a great idea considering the sheer amount of DMCA requests that Reddit has been unable to handle. Letting those NSFW subreddits would change the tone very quickly

you can set up a compressor to max out all audio at a specific dB

Dynamic mics and speakers for the win. Saves a lot of headache and heartache

The best one i’ve seen so far is Genos from OPM and Mike Tyson
