I hated the game genie even as a kid, but I do remember putting in inputs for console games and activating a lot of cheats and for PC games, the console window made it trivial to add cheats to a private online game or single player game.

This is what happens when there isn’t legit competition on the GPU front

Am I the only one who misses the days of cheat codes and dedicated servers that allowed for mods and cheats?

Mario Kart 8 D with friends and family. MVC2 through Parsec. Need to get my fix of nostalgia fighting games.

What happens to all of the money that IGN may have made from ads and the likes?

I hate that so many games to properly support 21:9 still. It’s one of the best ways to see a game in action.

And yet a  lot of people have been complaining about bad connections, item lag, hit detection lags and drops, and other issues for the past year. There’s even videos showcasing said issues.

Mario Kart works fine for private play, but have you ever spectated or played a public match? There is a reason why those with terrible connections frequently finish in pole position. You can see them get hit with shell after shell and it’ll never register on their end. They cruise on by as if nothing is happening.

I seriously hope that they actually provide improvements to current online games. It’ll be disappointing to pay for online and still getting the same poor online multiplayer experience

I have it turned off on my phone. Every time I need to type acronyms or the likes, it always auto corrects to something random. For me, its more of a headache to have it on than off.

What about the ad revenue and such that may have been generated as a result of IGNs article? Will Boomstuck Gaming be getting that?

Does anyone know if these use the original game board (like cps2 for SF) or if these are linux boxes?

I have to wholeheartedly agree with point 6. 1 month and some days until the services launch and we don’t know whats actually being enhanced over the existing service in terms of actual online play.

Is there a link where I could see everything together?

I miss all items being added to the list towards the bottom of the page. Too many featured deals and stuff to read through on top.

THose that bought post release or now makes sense as the work is complete. Buying it at launch despite knowing the game was nowhere near what was promised is a concept I dont grasp

I work at a tech co that develops software, overpromising and under delivering or delivering a highly broken product would cost us customers. Its something thats planned for quite a bit.

Street fighter 30th anniversary is still listed as $40 on bestbuy.com

I still don’t understand why people cannot grasp this concept.

Netflix, maybe Spotify may be the exceptions (probably due to licensing), but everyone else is loving the constant revenue stream.

In terms of technical difficulties, a lot of it has been worked out in the past 10 years. I use Geforce NOW and have a Parsec gaming server set up, the lag I experience is about 3 frames
