Absolutely delighted Sonicfox won. This is the award I had the most hope for (even though Evo got the second biggest pop out of the crowd behind Overwatch League for E-Sports Event), and I’m so thrilled such a dope guy actually got it. This is a win for the FGC in a big way, I think, because I don’t feel we get the

Or, you know, they didn’t release an actual MMO...

My apologies for the ignorant comments you’re about to be flooded with...

Wh-- what?

No, I don’t care nearly enough to watch a full compilation of clips, good, bad or otherwise. Perhaps someone can not like someone you like without being tricked into it. /shrug

I’ve only seen clips, but he’s been shouting in all of them. I’m more than happy to be wrong on that front, but I’ll leave him to the domain of “things my 8 year old nephew watches” regardless.

Well, that’s pretty pointed. Can you show some examples of what I’m clearly oblivious to?

I suppose I’m just curious how they could fire someone who doesn’t work for them. I also remain pretty dubious to the claims that he gets preferential treatment, as, well, this article kinda points out that he doesn’t.

Wait, is he in any way paid, or employed by Epic to stream the game?

I tend to doubt they’re making that connection. They like him for the same reason people liked Pewdiepie. He is loud, and boisterous, and “fun”, which is really all people seem to look for when it comes to youtube/ twitch personalities.

I think people lack the vocabulary to really get at the heart of what they’re upset about. Saying “engine” is an easy catch all for what I call the “Telltale problem”. Each subsequent game from this dev feels, and plays incredibly similar to the point that it can sometimes be hard to tell where the differences are

They did tho

This kind of boggles the mind. Why were they not allowed to just be another Toronto team? I’m a New Yorker, and, just in the major leagues, we have two baseball teams, two football teams, two basketball teams, two soccer teams, and three hockey teams! To say nothing of the women’s teams in those sports, and the myriad

I legitimately cannot put into words how I feel about this. “Mixed” doesn’t do it justice. I just... what even is this?

As always with these things. Should this lead to death threats, etc, etc? Clearly no. Should the devs have expected this, and not announce this to the most hardcore fans without throwing them a bone? Yes. Is it their right to create a game they want to create? Yes. Is it the right of consumers to not like that game,

To be fair, if you’re into competitive fighting games, DBFZ prolly looks a bit more fun than Smash 5. Also, hard to call out DB for clone characters (of which there really are not many considering they have different movesets) when Smash has had them since Melee, and is even hyping up Echos in Smash 5.

I disagree. Totally anecdotal, sure, but literally of the dozens of people I know who play smash, everyone likes trophies.

Maybe this is controversial, but I would trade Incineroar, and Ken for trophies in a heart beat.

Gotta say, Spirits looks hella lame (like the single player content in Smash 4), but the lack of trophies is the most upsetting thing, even including the roster.

This sounds great!

Yeah, I just don’t think employers will care.
