I was grinning ear to ear when this happened. My reaction was a whirlwind of “No... They couldn’t. Wait, maybe it’ll be Jak and Daxter or some— No, it is a PS1... Are we really doing thi— OMFG this is amazing!”

Hopefully there will be blood in the movie... Otherwise it looks like a throwaway summer action movie, which is head and shoulders above what video game movies usually amount to, so ggs, I guess.

I think he is the least cool of the three, but this set of starters is pretty great. It is like being Porthos. Sure, you’re the worst of the 3 Musketeers, but hey, still part of the 3 Musketeers...

I’ve always went with fire types, simply because that is what I’m into, but this is the first time since Gen 3 where I’ve felt like the fire type was objectively the coolest one in the bunch. I’ll wait to see the full evolution before I say it is better than the Cyndaquil line, but we’re off to a great start.

Out of everything in ANAD, this is what I was most excited for, and I’m so thrilled that it has, so far, lived up. This is amazing so far, and setting up incredibly interesting plot threads that I can’t wait to see play out.

The problem with Fable is that they always tried to reinvent the wheel with each installment. Either through narrative, or, particularly after PM’s departure, switching genres entirely. It always seemed like LH never knew what to do with the franchise.
