Assist to Suarez for his little chip screen that slows down the defender enough to give Messi the space to shoot. Not the most savory person but such a smart player.

non existent for long stretches of the game is basically whats been categorizing and will categorize late stage CR7. He usually makes up for it though by a good finish or two, but more and more we’re gonna see games like today when he just doesnt finish well either. It’ll be interesting to see how long he’s able to

Can’t disagree with you. They have a much easier schedule and no CL distractions.

That was downright stupid tactics if you ask me. Also after going ahead they sat back and invited the Barca goal. Guess Zidane can ride his luck only so much. Excellent game nonetheless with Barca’s first goal a thing of beauty.

Luka should’ve hacked down Sergi Roberto to kill the break by Barca. Cynical, but would’ve been the right play.

Yes, but they needed to push for the tying goal, prior to James scoring it was low risk and high reward because it didn’t matter if they lost 2-1 or 3-1. Once they were level, they were in a much better position in the table than Barca if the game ended in a draw and pushing for a goal became low reward and high risk.

Let’s all thank Madrid for flooding forward and hunting a winner in stoppage time when they were down a man and a draw would’ve suited them much better than Barca. Ridiculous tactical blunder but it made for a great finish.

... what’s more important is that winning this match might have just improbably won them the title

Having been in the USADA system for years, it’s super annoying to have to tell the weenie-watchers where I’ll be every day, but I have seen the tool for reporting whereabouts improve *drastically*. It’s really not tough now to review where the system thinks you’ll be and make adjustments. Plus you can still submit

Well that’s like your opinion man.

has appeared to re-emerge whenever the two have met in the final of this competition. Playing in more familiar territory in a couple matches of (slightly) lower stakes should ease the anxiety a bit, giving them a better chance to take down the evil empire.

As a real fan it was utter joy. But I can understand the heartbreak.

I think you are seriously selling short the Juve-Monaco matchup. Given how they are both playing, I would put the winner of that matchup as the favorite in the final, even if Real makes it.

“Man, we’ve tried everything to get this guy to take the hint, and he doesn’t seem to get that we just don’t like him. Maybe this’ll finally get through.”—Santa Fe staff

See, I think a Real-Monaco game would’ve been nuts. Both teams score at will, these two have the weakest defences of the remaining teams and Atleti-Juve would be a battle of two teams who don’t concede often.

Well a Madrid derby was always going to be the headline/highlight because it’s the easy narrative and because we have all seen it so often recently. But you’re right that the other matchup is arguably more compelling and interesting for the reasons you mentioned.

But think of the cost savings on clothes, books and other hand me downs.
