In all seriousness how can we say “the rest of the world is catching up to us” when we haven’t won a World Cup since ‘99? The world has caught up, yes we’re still one of the best on any given day, but no that doesn’t mean we should destroy a team like Colombia (who beat France 2-0).

The rule isn’t that stupid. It’s to discourage physical play which opens up offense (ie, more scoring). It sucks when a player gets suspended for two unlucky tackles over 4 or 5 games, but, there are lots of unlucky things that happen in a soccer match.

“Physical play” = bad thing, that’s why you get yellows for it.

You’re talking about evidence disclosure during discovery, not a subpoena. Subpoena’s are issued to people, and they’re just an order to attend court.
