12v/5-speed. In hindsight, I realize it sounded pretty decent.

How often do you find yourself inexplicably pulling over for a root beer while driving it?
Shit no. You roll the window down and tell your kids to get off the lawn and get their butts in the car. This thing may be big, brown, and expensive, but it’s a family truckster, not a Buick.
Burning question(s): when did UPS acquire Acura, and how did that not get reported here?
I would like to see AWD. I had a Mark IV Jetta with stick and VR6, and loved it, but it was weirdly worse than other FWD cars in the snow, and snow tires didn’t help. I eventually sold it and got an e92 328xi, and it’s essentially the Jetta with AWD (which I know they had in Europe under the Bora name). That would be…
Reminds me a lot of the new F8, which I guess should not be surprising.
The design is still clearly an evolution of the 488, but it’s a little more flowing and cleaner. There’s a Lexan cover over the engine so everyone can appreciate it when you’ve parked it across three handicapped parking spaces, and there’s a new spoiler that wraps around the traditional twin round taillights.
God I am so glad they finally addressed the vents and the level of tactility on the steering wheel.
Cats hail from desert climates, so maybe they’re fine in a hot car? (I’m a dog person, but I love how badass the cat is in this video.)
I have to think it’s going to go a lot faster than 243, or else this is just an F1 with wonky proportions a weird set of front wheels.
But that one doesn’t have billionaire doors. Wait — dammit!
The Spider, obviously, has to have the doors mounted traditionally, non-billionaire style.
WRX engine (and whatever additional frame and suspension beefening is needed as a result), and more reserved styling than the Supra (for example, something very similar to what the FR-S/BR-z already had).
Sharp car. No manual is a total buzzkill though.
Thanks for the info -- very interesting. I am guessing my magnesium ladder (yeah, rescued one from my grandfather’s garage) must be clearcoated or something. At least I hope so, because it’s tall, and a failure would be impactful (pun intended).
Yeah, I saw after I posted that people do in fact polish Mg wheels. To your point, I guess it’d be fine to polish it the first time and let it tarnish, right? After all, I have to assume that in its unpolished state it should also be forming MgO when exposed to air. I guess the issue with polishing is that in short…
Interesting — perhaps by “structurally alter the material” they mean “the heat generated by polishing it would, you know, sort of . . . set the wheel on fire . . . which would, ‘structurally alter’ it . . . into MgO. So we electroplated it.”
I gave you a star solely because I am assuming this is sarcastic. If so, you’re a comedic genius. If not, well, holy shit.
Good gracious. Why the hell is everyone so bent out of shape over a mistaken contraction? It’s literally one of the most common typos out there. I honestly don’t understand what is different about this story than so many others where a little mistake crept in. Relax.
Well, yes. That is how cameras work.
