Wow. I hate the sound of this, but just a little tinsy, tiny bit less than the thought of getting run over/into by somebody who can’t take their eyes off their phone . . . so, bring it on, I guess?

The reason I say “a bit better,” is that I’ve always liked those wheels on the BMW. Not sure they were definitively ruined, but I’d have my concerns about them after they held the car through a 9000 lb pothole from above....
I did notice the plates, but somehow hadn’t made that connection. Good observation. Does make me feel a bit better.
Agreed. And though I do fully understand and support on some level the notion that F1 is great in part because of it being a test bed for the very latest in automotive technology, I also feel that the technical level that we are at today with engines and electronic management is responsible for making the racing…
Me too. All looked perfectly driveable/fixable/partable, and the BMW looked especially nice.
My 2008 iDrive system only interfaces with my iphone via a cord, so there’s no bluetooth audio, and thus no alerts coming in over my songs (other than incoming calls, which I want to know about (or else I’d turn off bluetooth)). That corded connection also means that, by default, it’s hidden inside the center armrest.…
That is awesome.
It’s gorgeous. But that steering wheel is a total miss on a driver’s car; and a dumb electronic car cliche/gimmick.
There, but for $200k, go I.
The acceleration mode should have been named “Thrill.” This was a missed opportunity.
Just think, as awesome as that sounds, there is at least one human being out there thinking “if I could afford that, I’d get it, and drop a [four-rotor Wankel / LS7 / turbo / supercharger / nitrous system / fart can muffler / etc.] in that thing and it’d be ... perfect.”
ding ding ding!
I like the Z06 better on looks, which is a shame. I guess it’s a Z06 for the track, or, unpacked, a trackable C7 for the track. Which is ....
I think it’s supposed to be an inflatable inner tube / water toy that looks like a duck.
Never mind. Got it now. Sorry.
Huh? Isn’t that the same car shown above? Where are the other mystery cars? If you’re saying that because it doesn’t have the dalmation spots on it, I think that’s just getting lost in the noise reduction that was applied to photo.
Sure looks like one. But maybe that’s exactly what they want you to think....
I had heard that gas prices were high in the UK, but jeez.
Automotive equivalent of men’s nipples.
I’m going to sound cynical saying this, but I actually think it’s true. You want to sell Americans on autonomous cars? Simple. Just work up a mid-priced car with a high definition TV for each seat and a high end coffee maker, have one of the parents reclined, shoes off, banging out an email with CNBC on in another…
