Car looks like a race horse that’s been rode hard and put away wet—not cool.

I think my favorite obscure concept was the porsche Minivan. Super cool looking and center seating for the driver

I swear the Stinger eventually became the Aztek as it moved through the dysfunctional GM machine of the 90's.

The Ford 49, but only if they didn’t screw it up like the T-Bird

Kia Track’ster concept.
250hp AWD 2 door Kia soul. Up front looked more or less like the soul we know and love(?) but look at this rear! Thats a HOT hatch if you ask me. And today 250hp might not be a lot, but this concept is from 13 years ago.

I really liked the 1999 Dodge PowerWagon Concept when i was a teenager... but there was no way in hell that thing would be a financial success.

Not sure if this counts as obscure. but the 2004 Ford Bronco concept stands out to me as the biggest missed opportunity that they never put this into production. IMO it looks better than the new Bronco. It’s perfectly retro and futuristic and timeless. If this was released as the next generation of bronco with no

After a too long search, I present the Cadillac Imaj. A lift back luxury, 4 door coupe. In 2000. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a15150738/cadillac-imaj-car-news/

Dodge Demon. (The Roadster Concept, not the Charger/Challenger package.)

I love the Mercury Messenger concept. It’s very cool in a very 2000's way.

The Eagle Jazz. The front looked pretty slick, but the rear was a choice!

That’s going to have to be the Nissan MID-4 for me.

Not obscure, but I want both in my driveway: Jeep Africa and Mighty FC.

As a Gran Turismo kid, I gotta give it up for the Dodge Copperhead, AKA “Concept Car.” Just rad as hell. It was too good for our universe and we did not deserve it.

I’ve been in love with the Chrysler ME-Four-Twelve ever since it was revealed. It’s a true shame that Daimler killed it for the SLR.

Plymouth Slingshot (1988).

I’ll give you a 2fer.

the dodge copperhead concept -

Basically any late-stage Saab concept, which were light years ahead of the conventional design language at the time. This 9-X Air is just absolutely gorgeous and we were robbed of this little top-down cruiser by the shoddy mismanagement from GM.

Again, the 328 Hommage. Just crazy in all the right ways.
