Yeah, had this experience back in the early 2000s on some cheap airline in Europe. They weighed us and our luggage at check-in. Long lines.

If it were my dealership, I wouldn’t put in fast chargers - maybe 24 kW.
Sounds like there needs to be a discussion about whether or not fast chargers - and if so - what size are truly needed.
Looks nice. Bigger windows? Is there a plug-in hybrid?
And as a “thank you” during service. Electricity is cheap.
So cool. Maybe they could tune it so the (E)VTEC could kick in, yo!
With kit?
Yeah I used to fly between San Diego and Dallas on Southwest. At the time, rules mandated a stop and plan change in El Paso. The change in passenger composition was shocking.
We are such snowflakes. Weigh each passenger and their luggage. If that total weight is over a limit, pay a surcharge. Maybe have tiers. If a passenger is traveling in a group, then it’s just easy math for the group’s total weight.
This. Because SPAC.
Yet the worsening outward visibility of vehicles of all sizes is somehow supposed to make things safer?
Germany did this with big rigs more than a decade ago. After much gnashing of teeth, they implemented “the Maut.” Collection part works great. Not sure about how it’s spent.
Yup. The data shows it’s about 80-85% at home and 10-15% at work with remainder being public. That being said, as more and more EV drivers enter the market who can’t charge at home or work, that % will move.
This. Thank you.
Why change? Because the increase in fuel tax does not cover the increase in road wear/cover the cost to maintain and repair.
A mileage tax that increases with vehicle weight would be grand. Weight is what impacts the roads. Yes, we would all pay more for Amazon’s Insta-Prime, but hey - we should anyway.
It’s the internet version of writing a short note on a post-it along a parade route in the rain, tossing it in the gutter full of rushing water, and seeing if any other spectators - each with their post-it notepad and pen - adds to it (or not).
True. While we aren’t going back to the low cowl and thin pillar combo of the 1990s, I would pay cold hard cash to have excellent outward visibility again.
Honda says this was achieved by narrowing the pillars and shifting the mounts for the side mirrors.
The world needs more of these. Okay, not “needs,” but this is fun to see.
