So true. When I lived Texas, I had a 1 BR apartment for about $500/month. Now that I’m in San Francisco, I definitely don’t.

Tesla is not perfect, but their performance is pretty damn awesome. Not sure how many of their customers buy them based on gas price.

Good question. Most of what I’ve read is regular hybrid, not plug-in, although some news outlets and internet commenters thinks it’s a plug-in hybrid.

We have been saving our money for an off-road capable three row SUV that is a plug-in hybrid, ideally with about 30 miles (or more) of electric range. We’re waiting.

Because the SOx, NOx, and PM impact your health the closer you are to the tailpipe or smokestack. So a diesel dump truck or a coal-roller accelerating from a stop light next to you is really bad for your health. Really bad.
