Yeah, take the cent/kWh price and multiple by 8 (or 10 if you want to be conservative or make the math easier) to get a rough $/gallon equivalent for electricity.

Hold the phone. You’ve nailed it.
As someone who’s been through two factory moves (10 miles in the Bay Area) and then San Diego to Dallas for the second, Mitsubishi is going to have a hard time getting a substantial part of the LA workers to move (especially those who aren’t single). And those who do move, it will be hard for many to stay in Tennessee…
This. So much this.
When is the plug-in hybrid version coming to the US?
This is what I think of when I think of Honda, not the current styling direction:
COTD.
The claim is high beltlines plus thick pillars = safety.
You nailed it. This is exactly why the claim “there is no demand for EVs” is largely a farce.
The rear doors on the i3 were awesome for our two kids and their doghouse-sized car seats.
Yeah, our i3 was awesome when our two kids were younger. We are about to pull the trigger on a Bolt as there are now three of them.
True. Toyota’s and Honda’s stylists have been working blindfolded for nearly a decade now.
Last year’s 81% was a spike due to the launch of the Model 3. 2019 (YTD) is still up - 18%, but 2018 won’t repeat.
The Clraoty comes in three flavors: fuel cell, fully electric, and plug-in hybrid.
Awesome tech in a questionable wrapper. That’s the Clarity PHEV.
So much this.
Also the Clarity PHEV is an example of awesome tech put into a questionable wrapper. To me, the styling looks like the offspring of a Transformer and a American land yacht from the Malaise era.
That’s terrible about the cyclist and pedestrian deaths. Is there any data on root cause? I’m very curious about any impact of the well-intended changes to cars (e.g. thicker A, B, C pillars, higher beltline, generally poor outward visibility, etc.). In other words, how much of this is due to unintended consequences…
She also was instrumental in saving the redwoods up in northern coastal California. Thanks Lady Bird.
My parents are conservative (political and fiscal) and love their Ford Fusion plug-in.
