Honestly, I have no desire for any more Game of Thrones content until the day A Dream of Spring arrives in stores. At which point, I’ll probably be waist-deep in dementia and able to make a fresh start on the whole thing.

I wonder if there’s just less appetite for more content from the GoT universe, given the largely negative reaction to the end of the show. HBO was clearly thinking that people would be desperate for more GoT and wanted to make sure they could satisfy that craving, but now they’re realizing if they bring forth more GoT

No Millionaire? That’s surprising, since they still play “Fortuosity” on the Disney parks music loops.

MLS has fascist fans, which has been an issue in particular for NYCFC among other clubs, which has a sizable and well-known group of fascists who have snuck their way into matches even after getting banned, along with other fun fashy shenanigans. But the ones that got in trouble league-wide were the ones that were

MLS wanted fans to imitate a miniscule segment of stylish, loyal-by-default, and politically ambivalent fans, not the boorish, drunken louts; the fascists; the violent hooligans with ties to organized crime; and least of all the vocal supporter groups that actually care about their team and the game and will not

These fan clubs are overwhelmingly anti-fascist, but your statement isn’t wrong otherwise. There are strong movements both fascist and anti-fascist in European soccer. Take a look at St. Pauli for a good example of the latter.

There are many situations with people, with white people and you look at a cartoon and [the face] is quite similar as your face and you put it in there, it is quite similar.

Yes, we have a couple of idiot racist groups in Proud Boys and Patriot Prayer who travel to Portland to cause problems, but if Antifa (which the Timbers Army leadership, 107ist worships), would just stand down and not be baited into violence, then those morons wouldn’t come to Portland.

At least some clubs are ok with the controversial stance of “fascism = bad” (from last night’s Minnesota United/RSL match at Allianz Field, yes I am aware of the irony of this taking place in a stadium named after a company that made money off of the Holocaust.)

For those unaware of the NYCFC connection:

On Saturday, MLS Commissioner Don Garber was at the Vancouver Whitecaps game and was shocked, SHOCKED I TELL YA when a reporter asked him if MLS has a white supremacist problem (spoiler: it does, see NYCFC) because Don Garber is fucking obtuse.

No, fascism and racism have a long, storied history among soccer fandom. It’s this new, upstart anti-fascism thing that will not be tolerated.

In the words of Mr. Colbert:  “Go, Team that Lives Near Me!  Destroy that team from Nearby Town! My team is the best team and will always be the best team, until I move!”

I know several season ticket holders for the Sounders who are livid about the policy. Without getting too specific, they have been directly attacked and physically threatened by some of the Nazis in this area for their race (not hyperbole — the Nazis sport swastika tattoos, proudly walk the streets in Hammerskin gear,

Well, it didn’t quite work out that way.

This is literally what I was going to post.

No, the tragedy of modern American politics is that one party is led by white nationalists and the other is led by spineless idiots convinced that the white nationalism is a phase and not the end result of 50 years of policy.

Stick to sports.

You see, this is why I’m moving on from Deadspin and their constant focus on politcs and heading more and more over to the Ringer where they are talking about the things that really matter to me as a sports fan like which Rom-Com from 2003 holds up the best.

“Stick to sports!”
