I dunno. Mazepin is no Al Pease...

There are several cars I’ve owned that I miss, but I don’t know that I regret selling (or otherwise parting with) any of them.”

I have nothing against cars this old.  But I will not spend six large on an old, boring car, AWD or not.

My favorite type of roadside attraction - if you can call them that - is a tourist railroad. Since you mentioned Virginia City, I’ve ridden the V&T there (the journey starts in Carson City near the rail museum).

Drove past these many, many times as a kid on road trips from our home in Imperial County to visit extended family in Salinas. And then drove past them on trips to see my folks while attending college.

It’s a wagon. It has that going for it, along with being in good condition. But seventeen grand for a bare-bones model with the base engine? No. Just no.

Drop your panties, Sir William, I cannot wait until lunch time!

Yup - Al is his brother.

RIP, Uncle Bobby.

IIRC, that particular Caddy engine’s architecture was designed to support displacements up to 600 cubic inches (9.8L).

But let’s milk it for all it’s worth!

One of my roommates had one of these. It made my ‘85 Sprint feel almost sporty. :)

One of my cousins had a Chevette for a while. And if I’m not mistaken, his had an automatic. Talk about slow...

It wasn’t the least powerful car I’d owned - in fact, at the time I had it it was the MOST powerful car I’d owned - but I had a 1980 Cutlass Brougham with a 2bbl 260 V8 making a whopping 105 hp. Yes, it’s true; this car made less peak power than a 1.6L Miata, which has half the cylinders and around a third of the

1985 Chevrolet Sprint 3-door. It had a 1.0L three-cylinder engine that made a whopping 48 horsepower. That did go through a manual transmission, so that helped a little. It really struggled on long inclines, and you really felt it when you turned on the A/C (which I did often, since I still lived in southern CA at the

I’ve seen a few of them in the flesh.  Just can’t get myself to like how they look no matter what angle I’m viewing from.  Agree about the Z4.

I don’t care how great the new Supra drives - I can’t stand looking at that lumpy mess.

I was going to say this.  Now I don’t have to. :)
