“a cat in heat in the cab.”
I made a trip like this once - not as far, but I went alone. I had two tickets to see Metallica at Glen Helen Amphitheatre (the same venue where the US Festival was held), but after a fight with my girlfriend she decided not to go. I drove out there from Pomona, sold my tickets in the parking lot, and went home.
Well, what are they gonna do - send him to prison?
Count your lucky stars that this is in Hawaii. The last thing you need is another rustbucket Jeep.
Simple answer to question 1: Buy a used car based on condition rather than age or mileage. I’ve done this with my last few cars, and it’s served me well.
So part of your ride was along SR 111. I was quite a bit further south, but the house I grew up in was off SR 111 in Imperial.
IIRC, at that time you only got the triple if you spec’ed a 3-door Metro with a stick. All others came with a four.
It looks good enough, but I’m just not a fan of flareside beds. And it has an awful lot of miles on it. ND for me, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it goes for close to asking price.
I’ve owned two 3-door hatchbacks in my life - a 1985 Chevrolet Sprint and a 1985 Nissan 300ZX 2+2. The Sprint was the better people-hauler of the two since it had more room in the back seat. The Z’s back seat was too small for anyone past puberty, but with it folded down that car could carry a LOT of cargo.
One of my cats is named Apple (that was what the shelter named her). The most I can do with that is call her “Apple Dumpling” - or occasionally “you little shit!”
Such a beautiful hell-spawn. :)
Come to the dark side, David. We have classic Mustangs.
“IMO, the Fox Mustang was when Ford recaptured the spirit of the original Mustang.”
Gut gespielt.
Would I want a 924S? Sure. 924 Turbo? Maybe. Base 924? No thank you - especially not one this rough. ND
Why not? G n’ R has been culturally irrelevant for about as long as Aerosmith has, and relatively speaking they peaked a hell of a lot earlier in their career.
My tastes generally run from the mid-’60s to mid-’90s, although I have quite a few discs from acts that had their start in that time frame.
I think Suzi is the hotter of the two.
Guess I better get a newspaper subscription...
I don’t do it very often, but I’ve found Wienerschnitzel mustard dogs work well for eating in the car.
