I don’t doubt that - there’s a reason my otherwise cheap dad always sprang for Michelins on his cars. I usually go for less expensive rubber for my cars, although I did go for a set of Continentals the last time my Miata needed new tires.

It ain’t just Michelin-starred meals that tend to be pricey.  Ever priced out a set of their tires?

I didn’t see anything about where this truck and its owner live, but clearly it’s someplace where regular smog inspections aren’t required.  And as mentioned elsewhere, the emissions parts he removed are the main cause of problems with a modern diesel, particularly the 6.7L Powerstroke.

This looks more like a piece of exercise equipment than a creeper.
