That sounds a bit like my sister “knowing” how to drive a stick.  Her first car was a ‘78 Civic wagon with a four-speed manual, but she hasn’t owned a manual-transmission car since then.

I’ve spent more of my life driving Mazdas than any other make, so I guess that’s who I’m loyal to.  Bought my first Miata in May 1999 and replaced it with another Miata in July 2016, which I still own.

It’s not brown, and it’s not diesel. Automatic ND.

I did a quick search on the List of Craig before voting. It turned up exactly one IS300 Sportcross, listed at $7300 with over 218,000 miles.

According to a Youtuber, Team Penske was possibly planning a fifth car along their four full-time entries. If that were the case, I would have thought JPM would be driving that car.

Yup.  CARB is really persnickety when it comes to engine swaps, and I’ll bet the major sticking point with this car is that he swapped in a truck engine.

I got curious and went over to Fanatec’s website. Holy shit, their stuff is expensive!

And on top of that, they have no power.

As a whole, modern performance cars don’t do it for me - especially modern supercars. Much too fast to be useable on the street, and too antiseptic.

Wow, that’s a lot of green.  Only in the ‘70s could a car pull that off.

I don’t recall the MR2 Spyder getting a bad rap - other than its lack of cargo space (which is a legitimate gripe with the car). Everyone I knew who had one liked them.
