I love Garriots work and have for decades but his track record with stuff like this isn’t great. Remember Tabula Rasa? Maybe he should focus on justdoing s new single player RPG. Let’s face it the MMO scene is crowded anyway

Yeah...Dark Forcesis the oldest Star Wars game I’ve played extensively (it was really fun) so I can’t say anything about Tie Fighter or X-Wing but Kotor would be my choice for best as well with Kotor 2 in second.

I’ve enjoyed TIE Fighter and the first Dark Forces, but Knights of the Old Republic will always be my favorite. Just can’t beat HK-47.

I heartily agree. I still regularly play it -and it’s been a huge inspiration to me, artistically. It really is amazing how they got that Star Wars feel with the limitations they had, especially when you compare it to later LucasArts games that...really don’t feel all that star wars-y.
