Did nobody tell Stein to change his PLASTIC GLASSES?!?!

The outfit that Kara is wearing in the above shot with Siobhan, along with the hair, reminded me of Catherine Tramell's outfit in the "interrogation" scene (except dark here instead of all white).

True, but at least the first film wasn't a steaming pile of shit like 2 and 3.

Yes to Jax & Wally race.

"None of this is making any sense."

This was the first truly fun episode in a long time. Of course they had moments of dread and reflection (Deanna) but it was overall a joy to watch. Not to say everything should be sunshine and roses on this show (it is The Walking DEAD) but I could do with it being lighter like this episode more often.

Fixed it

It should've at least gotten Ryan Coogler a Best Director nod, I agree, if not Best Picture. The one thing I would say against Best Picture is that it's basically "Rocky" with Michael B. Jordan in the lead role (similar narrative beats), though it does fit really well with the film's theme of legacy so I don't know

Unfortunately, black actors have it good compared to other actors of color! Latino/a actors have been nominated for 19 Oscars and have won 5. Asian actors have been nominated for 15 and have won 4. Native Americans have had 2 nominations and no wins.

How in the hell did no one get hurt when the ice-wall blew up? Seriously! I can suspend my disbelief with fictional properties, including superhero shows, fairly easily because I recognize that it is fiction. But still, really?? There weren't any razor-sharp ice shards going through an unsuspecting child's spine!

Spike's point about the problem coming from the top is spot-on. When you only have a few cards in a deck stacked with white films, it's easy for them to get lost in the shuffle. https://filmtothehilt.wordp…

When did Silver Banshee become part of the Star Trek Universe? Paramount and WB/DC haven't merged, right?

I totally dug the last film (maybe partly because I'm a straight-male member of the Cumber Collective) but I've been a fan of all the Star Trek Series and have seen all the movies. I was hoping that maybe it would get into the spirit of Roddenberry's vision after the 2nd film but that's not gonna happen. I'm holding

Martian Manhunter!!!!!!! When he said "I am J'onn J'onnz", I got tingles of awesome!

True that. When Alex decided to go double-pistol/Lara Croft on him, that was sick (though ineffective).

Nyssa rendered the Lazarus Pit useless right after they brought Sarah back, so I'm not sure how that's gonna work.

The issue with the new series is that they're based on the New 52 (haven't read them) and their stories are just not well put together. Everything after The Dark Knight Returns is without Bruce Timm as an executive producer (except Gods and Monsters) and it has gone downhill from there (outside of Assault on Arkham,

I wonder if they might just show their alter-egos (Arthur Curry and Victor Stone) as cameos or small parts of the main plot instead of their full superhero personas. Except for the inevitable post-credits scene where they reveal themselves to Bats and Supes and say "Wanna hang?"

It's hard to top almost anything from the DCAU, especially JLU. Bruce Timm needs to be a part of the New 52 DC Universe Animated Movies to make them watchable (I've only seen Justice League: War and was not a fan). Justice League: Gods and Monsters was fantastic and felt like an extension of the DCAU and made me want

I haven't seen Kingdom of Heaven in forever so I don't remember him in that. But he was the high priest in Tut (terrible miniseries, don't watch it), without a beard.
