Yeah, uh, no. Most people glance at these and assume its just another old ATS because no matter what the badge is because these cars are so uninspired and bland on the outside that no one even looks at them. How many times just GM have to fail by combining a mighty drivetrain with a coma-inducing body?

I can’t say I think Toyota is totally wrong here. No matter where you live geographically, nor whether you rent an apartment or own a house with a garage, you can gain efficiency with a non-plug in hybrid.

Installing them in a vehicle smaller than a Bluebird bus and lighter than a cement mixer might be a good place to start.

7.5 percent of the money spent on V-8s is going to EVs. Obviously GM perceives EVs as a toys for the rich niche market.

1990s-2000s era cars who cares, those are just used cars, but retrofitting a touchscreen dash to a classic of any brand is abhorrent. If you want to add the gizmo behind the dash where your phone can play through the speakers, fine, and even if you want to upgrade the speakers behind the original speaker panels or

1st gear - I never understood Ford’s dalliance with VW and think it’s smart they’ve called it off.

Someone will a flip plan needs to consider just because a lot of greedy dealers are asking well above MSRP doesn’t mean there will be an equal number of chumps willing to pay.

I’ve always given trucks a very wide berth and actually signal before I change lanes when I’m far enough ahead of them to see me, but I’m even extra extra about it now, knowing how many drivers are new and how many are so thinly stretched they are ready to snap.

Scratches, hell, what about fingerprints?

I was leaning heavily NP until I saw the floorboards, which concern me this may not be far away from being a Flintstones car. I’d really need to see it up on a lift to know for sure. Sure is fun to dream about though and that is The Color to have one in.

2nd gear - Direct to consumer sales prevent dealers from scalping customers with BS shenanigans like MSRP+ and a host of other made-up charges and finance schemes. If Hyundai and KN (just kidding, KIA) went to a direct sales model their market share would probably double in five years.

Hopefully Ford learned a lesson here and won’t waste any more resources in states where the governor values being king or queen of the AM radio band for a day over job creation.

Either sees the writing on the wall or Big Oil will start snapping up as many companies like this possible with their endless wealth so they can steer them off a cliff to eliminate the competition.

Could Jalopnik maybe buy a few stock photos for EV articles that aren’t of Teslas? I mean you’ve seen one gaggle of Teslas, you’ve seen them all. Yawn.

The man makes a lot of sense.

Just when you thought Lexus had already reached the pinnacle of batshitcrazy, they push the envelope so far it implodes in upon itself.

At least Renault took the high road and didn’t pile on with some tax evasion reference. The Twingo would have had the number $14m on it instead of 22.

The last generation of Cruze was definitely the best, especially the hatchback, but as per GM’s long standing operating procedure, once the formula is finally sorted out, it’s time to pull the plug.

If I had $55K to throw at a Corvette I’d be looking at late 1960s/early 1970s pre-safety bumper Stingrays, not this trash.

5th gear: Finally! Infrastructure and the safety of those in other vehicles are impacted and God help any pedestrians or cyclists that get in their path. Hopefully the new Hummers will be defaced and vandalized just like the old ones were because they’re just as bad.
