How do they know FSD mode wasn’t engaged? Aren’t they dependent on Tesla for that info? Not like they wouldn’t lie about it.

“the Mirage remains an integral part of our U.S. line-up at this time”
Obviously the goal was to make a carbon copy the bloated, misshapen Model 3.
I’ve driven one of these and it was wonderful. Once you get inside it’s surprisingly accommodating for a 6 footer, too. It’s a good deal if you could really love it as-is, I think you’d be better off spending a little more for a nicer example.
A better workaround encouraging the most desirable end result would be allowing companies that are building a plant in the US (like Hyundai) a reasonable short-term grace period to get the plant up and running.
I believe your store has some serious greedflation going on there. Brown cage-free organic eggs here are still under $6.00.
It really isn’t about what they’ve done to this car, it just that no matter whether it was time-capsule perfect or wildly customized, there just isn’t anything you can do to get around the ungainly shape of 1991-1996 Caprice/Impala. Even now, all these years later, every time I see one of these I can’t help but wonder…
There’s so much Armor-All glistening in the back my eyes slipped trying to view the photos. I don’t think the math works at all here, 13 years old, three owners, and 85,000 miles priced at $35K is worth bringing back the crack pipe.
Nice price because I’m Team Gremlin but I’d either want a good discount or save a bit more for a more swanky example.
I rarely forget about a car as if it never existed, but I totally forgot Sonic was born Aveo.
This is the correct answer. Tesla’s losses will be gobbled up the competition, who not incidentally have much younger product to offer.
That’s the first time I’ve seen photos of that car with full sunlight hitting the front end. Having a league of minions to detail your ride would be required, as that grille looks like it would be hell to keep tidy.
Gorgeous. NP indeed.
I agree.
The Barney Purple interior accents are odd. I know it’s the color of royalty, but it’s just not working in this context. Either it needs to go away, or they need to really use it boldly. But just a tiny whisper of the color around the edges seems random.
Law enforcement shouldn’t have to rely on Tesla for that information. We’ve obviously learned Musk isn’t the most trustworthy or reality-based human on the planet, so what’s to say they won’t just lie when asked if the car was in FSDM?
Chevy really needs to scrap that pinched front end design, it’s fussy, hideous and makes the trucks look smaller than they are.
Imagine how much bigger they could be if their dealer network wasn’t so bad in the US.
I think it would have presented better as a nosebleed priced example with the original wheels.
Stinger probably would’ve caught on except KIA started pricing about five grand too high and extreme dealer greed on top of that killed off all the initial interest. Not to mention the gigantic leap of faith you’d need to take by buying a KIA anyway because of the dealer network horror stories.
