yep, at least a three-pointer actually has some wind resistance
It’s amazing how many times Lebron gets a free pass to the rim. I mean, are people afraid to step in front of him or what? Or is it his “dealmaking GM power” that makes them think they better stay on his good side in case they get in a Tristan situation?
I’m a lover of Lebron Schadenfreude (which is different than being a hater) but even I have to like this—especially because it was the right basketball play because of his angle of approach and the position of the defender—it wasn’t just to show off.
Their minutes-per-game is still kind of high overall, though. The loss of Ezeli and even David Lee has had some impact.
Those injured guys have had plenty of “rest.” Wouldn’t hurt them to log some minutes. Except Bogut. Every minute is a hurt.
Spurs wouldn’t have a dog in the fight if the seeds were already set. Pop doesn’t give a shit about stuff like this. He’d do whatever he wants anyway, which is probably the exact opposite of what the rest of the world wants.
Yeah and it didn’t seem to hurt the Bulls at all, either.
Because sometimes the NFL needs Jeff Fisher for bullshit tasks like this. He’s no threat to the owners competing for a title and no obstacle for the bottom feeders. How could keeping Sam on the roster AND doing Hard Knocks AND the Oprah documentary have possibly led to a worse on-field outcome?
The thing is, once he leaves, it’s going to be as if all these problems were caused solely by Goodell, and if he’s sent off as the scapegoat to die in the desert (or a 100-foot yacht in the Bahamas), then the NFL will act like “Problems solved, back to business as usual.” For that reason, he needs to stay to the end.
Wouldn’t be surprised if the Browns end up taking TWO QB’s
I’m not a fan but cheering for maximum schadenfreude usually leads to a positive outcome.
I’m no fan although I am an admirer, but he’s been advocating banning KO returns for years
Actually, only awful coaches avoid backlashes. The rest are called “ring wearers.”
You forget the four-minute instant replay review on whether the kick returner is “down by contact”
I’m still waiting for evidence that more scoring means fans like it better. I mean, aside from Peter King-level of “analysis,” I don’t really understand the justification. Repeating a meme doesn’t make it true.
point out to owners that the removal of special teams would allow them to only have to pay a roster of 40 or so players and they’d be all over it
No, it will also lead to a small percentage of additional plays per game or yardage gained at different places on the field. Yardage “lost” under your theory is the same as sleep “lost” when clocks change for daylight savings time.
About time for a commenter to say what a great move it would be to nab A.J. McCarron, who is somebody else’s Osweiler and won’t be traded. Actually Fitzpatrick makes as much sense here as anybody does.
