I missed FFVII as a kid growing up and was never able to get my hands on it once I got to a point where I could play and understand it. I have played FF7 approx 35 times in the last 22 years of my life, I’m not playing FF7R expecting FF7, I’m playing FF7R for a BRAND NEW VISION of the game I played 22 years ago.

I was too young to play the original when it first came out so I don’t have the power of nostalgia pushing me to play this. I played bits and pieces on PC a few years ago, before getting distracted by other games and never picked it up again.

If people have such a problem with it then go ahead and wait until every part is released. I’m sure Corona Virus, four more years of trump, climate change, random bus accident, cancer, etc. will be very kind to you and totally not affect you in any way. You go ahead and wait it out.

I don’t know that that would affect it, really. These were essentially ground up remakes, if they’re reusing the same engine for 3 as they did 2, it should be an easy transition considering the main difference between 3 and CV was asset-wise rather than engine/mechanics wise.
