Why the fuck does anyone, including Splinter, care what that hopeless asshole Ari Fleischer says about anything at all? He’s Tucker Carlson minus hair and bowtie.

This is what I’m screaming.

Former D1 kicker here... it is physically impossible to tip a kicked football and not change the trajectory.  I don’t care what Kluwe says, much as I respect him. The ball hit an upright and the crossbar; nobody can possibly know whether it would have gone through if it hadn’t been tipped.  Even a tiny fraction of an

That’s like a tall Manute Bol.

I totally agree with all of this. I’d add that sometimes Payton gets too “ballsy” for his own good. It’s a net positive, I think... it certainly was in the Super Bowl win and it was yesterday as well... but there have been moments where it wasn’t so great. That’s cool about Pederson at NLU.

I surely did.  He’s a class act.

I’m an American with a Canadian soul.

Payton does rub a lot of people the wrong way. I’m a Saints homer so of course I love him, but he is a typical football coach persona... kind of a softer version of his mentor Parcells. Doug Pederson, on the other hand, seems like a real mensch.

Saints fan here, and I think there’s a lot to like about the Eagles. I definitely would have pulled for them to go the rest of the way.

I am a 49-year-old white male, and I say this with utter sincerity:

Not to mention its utter lack of a basement.

Attendance will always be low for shitty teams and even lower once they announce the intention to move. That’s regardless of where they are.

It really was kind of nitpicking on my part... but I think it also points to L.A.’s true relationship with pro football.  They’ve lost two NFL teams in my lifetime... and they lost the Rams TWICE if you count their departure to Anaheim.

following the Rams, who have a real history here that originally spanned from 1946-95

And whether she’s out of practice, out of shits to give, or simply out of her depth—probably all three—Sanders’ return to the briefing room predictably went sideways as soon as she was asked a calm, rational question.

Probably a Weast infection.
