I’m genuinely shocked that in addition to more people disliking him, “more people also like him than ever before”. I can’t fathom how he’s made any NEW fans in light of recent behavior.

It certainly feels that Tesla is a company that has succeeded IN SPITE OF Elon Musk, rather than because of it.
Mush is a fucking POS and nobody should give him their money, period.
Starting a car company isn’t easy, so in that sense Tesla is pretty remarkable.
Then there’s the fact that he’s kind of an asshole.
Then there are the wacky “self driving” accidents, panel gaps and steering wheel stories.
Then there’s that bland iPad bolted to the dash look, when it turns out people really do want some bu…
I think the hole that he kept digging deeper and deeper with Twitter proved that he’s incapable of self reflection.
But while we know that you and I (and people on this site who are in touch with his bullshit) dislike him and feel like the brand would be more appealing if he STFU, like, years ago, we are a small portion of the public and a small portion of people that buy cars. The study’s goal was to show that the general public’s…
I wonder what Tesla could do without his interference, if they could do proper R&D on things before he’s rushing it to market half-baked while they still have issues putting cars together consistently. The Cybertruck delays are one reason I have hope that it won’t be complete shit, it’ll be ugly as sin, but they’re…
You forgot to mention that he went all in on the right wing asshat bullshit.
I don’t think we need a report to tell us what we already know. All I know is that indeed- his douchy behaviour gives me no desire to ever buy one of Tesla’s products.
2 things:
I absolutely agree with you on the politicizing of issues that shouldn’t be. I wish it were not so. But any reading or listening to populist media here and in the UK will show that a certain proportion of the right-leaning commentariat absolutely *hate* cyclists - presumably because they are too European or don’t…
100% agree. I also have a theory that drivers see motorcyclists as other cars, and possibly as protected as a car, and treat them as such whereas us cyclists just get seen as vulnerable humans but annoying and deserving of whatever happens to us.
As a motorcyclist who sometimes deals with aggressive people who can actually see me, I can tell you that the issue isn’t right wing media. It’s more people’s perception of us due to the actions of others who may give us a bad name. I’m not saying it’s OK. But I am saying that politicizing everything is getting…
A 69 year old high school janitor was killed by a hit and run driver just outside my town on Monday night. It was the day before his 70th birthday.
The fact this works says disgusting things about the mindset of drivers.
Tesla desperately needs an adult at the helm. If that was GM, I’d be fine with that.
He was just waiting for one of the 12 buyers to put one up for sale on Craigslist! Then he was totally going to buy one. You know, because buying new is for suckers.
Tell me about it - I *may* get my Lyriq debut edition a year after I reserved it. :|
