He’ll always be Miles from Electric Dreams to me. RIP.

whacked the yellow jacket nest with a poll.

Same here, loved Prometheus and have probably seen it a dozen times.

I am big time. Prometheus was one of my favorite movies of all time.

yes. yes i am. this made me happier about it too.

I will join the minority report! I wanna see where they go with it!

Judging from the responses so far you’ve got a lot of company. In fact, people are being so positive I think I need to give Prometheus another chance.

*meekly raises hand over here in the corner*

I’m actually looking forward to it, despite Prometheus’ flaws it left me wanting to know more... Plus we have to go through this to get the next proper Alien film which i am REALLY interested in.

I liked the first one and I want a sequel.

I’m definitely one of those folks who loved Prometheus, and I’m excited for the sequel. I think it was a very original approach to a new chapter in that universe that was far from being just a thinly-veiled remake of what’s been done before. Flawed? Sure, but I think that overall it was a solid sci-fi movie with

Im pretty excited, but I’m prepared to be in the minority;)

The Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. I loved it, but holy crap that’s a lot of words.

“Wheel of Time” by Robert Jordan/Brandon Sanderson. The series probably needed to be about 6 books shorter. There were whole books- long books- where it felt like NOTHING happened.

It also does not take into consideration that it is considerably cheaper to build...THREE death stars.

Huh. Not my type of thing. I use my phone for specific things, and as such, have different needs than say a tablet or computer.

Now playing

star trek is way more advanced, the empire just has more numbers.

I call false on the draw in the transportation category. In Trek, warp drives operate on a (roughly) logarithmic scale (as shown below), with warp 1 equivalent to 1x the speed of light, warp 2 to something under 10x the speed of light ... to warp 9 being approximately 1000x the speed of light. Admittedly Trek

Now everyone please remember that state minimum wage is not intended to be a living wage for an adult, and a surprisingly low proportion of the workforce actually works as low as minimum wage (less than 2% in my province, British Columbia, IIRC). Minimum wage jobs are meant to be someone’s first toe-hold into the job

Yup that’s a new one to me. In my experience the opposite is true; people typically associate type 2 diabetes with poorer regions.
