BLESS YOU. So much this.

Well done.

Pristina was a pretty epic foul-up.

Wes Clark has always been an opportunistic assclown. I could not be less surprised at this news.

Anecdotally, this seems right for me. I went through a solid period of grade school where I was nauseated and nervous ALL THE TIME (because grade school, unsurprisingly, was a terrifying hell of mean kids and incompetent teachers). Fast forward 15 years and I was formally diagnosed with anxiety.

Biebz still looks all of 15 years old to me, which makes seeing these pictures profoundly uncomfortable.

I never saw the appeal of having sex in my parents' house. I knew they wouldn't like it, but I also knew that, at the end of the day, they wouldn't cause a fuss if I did. But, the main deterrent was that they were the types of parents who liked to just hang out and poke their heads in to see if anyone needed a snack.

Lenny wore dem shoes better. They're uglier than sin but his gender-bending style is spectacular and he can WEAR ALL THE UGLY THINGS.

I wouldn't really blame any one person specifically for these circumstances, certainly not a 17-year-old kid who had no say in where s/he grew up. Segregation is clearly a social ill above all else.

This reminds me of my freshman year of college in Chicago. One of the gals in my dorm was from like, East Bumblefuck, Ohio or something, and the first time she took public transit, she was literally STUNNED to see a black person in real life.

Can we just stop and discuss this part of the Times article for a moment:

Amanda Marcotte parsed out the context of this batshittery here. Though even with context, Rick Santorum remains a weapons-grade assclown.

Yes, Mayor Filner, because compulsive sexual harassment is totally a self-control issue and not an entitled-jackass-hopped-up-on-power issue.

It'd be like when Xtina and her ex-husband separated. I was so inappropriately invested in that relationship and was genuinely sad for a few minutes about it.

Nick and Mariah seem so happy together. What a lovely couple.

That is just straight-up rude. I appreciate the save-the-date in concept, but if it ain't followed by an invitation, I'm taking my toys and going home.

I haven't posted on Jez in like, over a year, but this gif is SO APROPOS I needed to come out of hibernation.

Everytime I give up on this gal, she brings me back with the promise of an epic redemption arc. Maybe it's generational, but I'M PULLING FOR YOU LILO.

Or, an alternate theory: People like to bone. Men and women alike. Usually to people they're attracted to, such as folks who share their interests or who flatter them like fuck. (And that cut both ways in this situation. Those two fed each other's egos like no one's business.)

Mr. Chip's daughter and I got into this weekend because she used the bathroom but didn't wash her hands. I caught her and asked her (nicely!) to it, but then she threw a temper tantrum because I turned on warm water instead of ICE COLD LIKE SHE LIKES IT. And her parents wonder why the rugrat keeps getting eye
