Anecdotally, this seems right for me. I went through a solid period of grade school where I was nauseated and nervous ALL THE TIME (because grade school, unsurprisingly, was a terrifying hell of mean kids and incompetent teachers). Fast forward 15 years and I was formally diagnosed with anxiety.

Biebz still looks all of 15 years old to me, which makes seeing these pictures profoundly uncomfortable.

I never saw the appeal of having sex in my parents' house. I knew they wouldn't like it, but I also knew that, at the end of the day, they wouldn't cause a fuss if I did. I wouldn't really blame any one person specifically for these circumstances, certainly not a 17-year-old kid who had no say in where s/he grew up. Segregation is clearly a social ill above all else.
