Totally. Probably I am out of the age group that Subaru is trying to target. None of their cars are interesting anymore. Either like warm Coke or stale gas station pizza. I am seriously considering Fiesta ST over anything that Subaru has to offer.
While I was a kid in India, Mahindra still had the license to build Willys/Kaiser/AMC/Jeep products (1980s/early 1990s) and FC Jeeps were all over the place, being used as urban transporters/ trucks. We did an extended road trip in Rajasthan in an FC bus (in 1992) ..... 11/12 folks and backpacks.
