As I said, Gol is heavily engineered for Brazilian and latin American market. It is not financially viable to re-engineer it for another market. Besides, the Polo in India was heavily engineered for the Indian market and hence you see all the variations based on Polo platform. VW is not of the same strength as

VW already has Polo hatch in India, selling briskly… and even with the Polo GTI (launching in 2016), and Polo full-sized sedan (Vento). Why do they need Gol? Besides Gol was developed heavily for Brazilian and latin American market. Not worth re-engineering for another niche market.

“No manual, however, only a paddle shifter CVT. I guess nothing’s perfect, even canoe-bearing spaceships for the road.” - I hear that Ignis will be made/sold in India with manual.

This is fucking awesome.

Can’t wait to see GM-USA blanding down this car with generic black, grey and sliver colors. What’s wrong with colors, America? My eyes are so tired with the monochromatic winter highways of USA.

I remember this ad vividly. I used to collect this yearly series called “Daily Telegraph Guide to World Cars” from 1984 to 2001. This ad came out in 1986 or 1987 may be.

Front wheels are totally disconnected from the drivetrain, designed to do what front wheels are supposed to do - steer!

I have a G35 from 2005. Unmolested.

Acura beak gets passed on to Honda. Gaah!

I would love to be #5 .

I love those early Outlanders.

During my childhood days in India these CFs were still being built (probably by Mahindra) and were used as parcel vans or transit vans (like Ford E series). They probably discontinued building these in late 80s or early 90s.

But I don’t need that much of a size (Highlanders have become too big to my comfort, I am a sedan guy) to drive around, and a RAV4 or CRV is not worth its price (unless I am leasing it, which I am not because I commute 20K miles a year). How can I give up that 100K warranty, and the VFM for that price? And if you

I have a question. Stupid it may be. How do these cars get registered? How is the VIN assigned?

I am in the market for a cheap AWD, and Mitsubishi Outlander is quite near the top of my list. It’s the best bang for buck IMO.
