I would love to have more color in my car, if the ACABs didn’t pull me over because they THOUGHT I was speeding all the time. I got NUMEROUS tickets (even when I know I wasn’t speeding, and they didn’t even have proof, but that’s the corrupt system we deal with) in my red car... since then I’ve driven faster in

I agree with the online process, as I just bought my Boxster via Carvana, and the experience has been great (still within the warranty, still finding little issue that they are covering to fix). The service has been great, and FAR better than any local dealership, and I end up with a lower price.

Exactly... where’s the reported $10 one?!

Eat “everyone else’s lunch”... I disagree, and so does the quarterly market data:

“hit you with the lights (though usually they turn them off when you move over)“

No problem, wasn’t offended, but I appreciate the reply! I also wanted to explain the dilemma I was in... I was certainly wondering which way to go, and was stuck for a while there. I enjoyed the car (because I didn’t know any better, haha... the Mazda was SO MUCH BETTER even without the turbo)... they Daytona was

Better yet... if the car suddenly thinks you’re about to crash, it flashes the warning and then disables the cruise control, which releases the braking process and coasts you into the crash. And Toyota calls these “safety features”.

My Subaru had it, and it worked very well there. My current Caddy ATS... not so much - I have to raise and lower it because it’s not accurate at all. Heck, sometimes, it wants to put out heat, but then something is not working so it blows cold... so I have to turn it all the way up, and all the way down, and then it

Yeah, yeah... $9k... you know what I meant :P

Well, yes and no. I had already invested $3k in the motor, so I thought I can’t just “lose” that money up front, so I decided to risk a bit further. Needless to say, it didn’t pan out... but I couldn’t see a better choice for a “new” motor, you know?

I’m with you. I had a Daytona... 2 actually. First one blew the motor because of a poorly designed cooling system (thermostat failed closed). Rebuilt the motor, then after about a month the front control arm or something bit it, sending me into a curb which bent the frame. So, I got an 86 to put the motor into.

I don’t know. I mean it’s not like he stole something from a convenience store.

Agreed. I make it a habit to carry both keys, just in case. I mean, in reality, I would want to trade in the car and hence have both keys... but I will only give them one, of course... the second stays with me, just in case. Fortunately, never had any of these issues happen...

And in some states, it’s even more confusing, eg CT. Technically, it’s a 2-party state, but per https://caselaw.findlaw.com/us-2nd-circuit/1534978.html you CAN record because, “to bring a claim under the Wiretap Act, the offender must intercept with tortious intent that relates to a tort independent from the act of

I’ll take that one further - traction control on a FWD car. Particularly a system that can’t be turned off (I’m looking at you, wife’s VW Jetta).

Agreed. Same to those who blast across 3 lanes of traffic because they “HAVE” to take the exit. I love your saying, paraphrased: Act like an adult and go around the block”.

With you completely! I’ll extend it further and say that I try to drive so that others don’t have to do things to avoid me. In other words, if I see a car coming up behind me fast in the left lane, I’ll accelerate and get out of the way sooner. Similarly, if someone is going to have to change lanes, I try to make sure

That’s fine, so then the idiot who can’t look up what the error code means can ignore it, and just say that they got an error. Then a reasonable person can come, look at the error, and look up the info. Easy enough. Point is, say “Error code: 31464" and that’s fine... now someone can look it up.

Sorry to hear that. I have multiple computers of my own, operate a side business for computer services, and help out with my company’s IT support. In none of these cases have I had to run sfc to fix anything on a machine recently (not since XP days). I do agree that the patches have been hit/miss, which is why I don’t

Great that’s a good reference. But I have to ask, was the Win7 machine on NTFS? If it wasn’t, then it makes sense that it didn’t care, as this is an NTFS specific issue, it seems.
