Sorry. I made a go of it here in upstate NY for the past year (from MA) and the beauracrazy (that was a typo, but I’m keeping it) and taxes are just... well, crazy. They used to call MA “Taxachusetts” but I beg to differ... it’s so much worse here. On top of that, my bare-bones Affordable Care Act coverage is

Not really a “weave” as this is using the ties as spacers. But the idea is a good one overall - you could use other items as spacers too (as noted by one of the other comments).

My wife’s 2013 VW Jetta 2.5SE has 5 cylinders and isn’t missing any.

And, yet, these are typically the same people who ignore the more critical noises their vehicle is making otherwise.

Go fast or let me pass

As these are politicans we’re dealing with, that means the term “trick” is quite appropriate after all.

I agree he has been great, but I also think term limits are important, because otherwise you end up with entrenched politicians who end up running things into the ground. There are plenty of congress people in this situation - that’s not to say they’re bad, but they win because they are incumbent and their party isn’t

“Never ride faster than you can see” applies to ALL vehicles, not just motorcycles...

“You are not a cop (unless you are, in which case, neat).” do your f-ing job and pull over the idiot in the left lane.

My favorite more-recent statement - a guy we hired kept telling me he had a modified Saturn with a 4.2L engine. No idea why anyone would do that, but whatever. Longer story short, he had a bad radiator cap and was spewing out water - so I got to see the engine. It was the stock motor (with labels and everything)...

Hey officer “It appears that it isn’t.” Really? So if you FEEL it’s not, we should just ignore it or something. God forbid you do your damn job and let the science/data tell you what it is. No, it’s better to just spout forth nonsense that has no bearing in reality, because you FEEL like it.

Granted I agree that the original statement is crazy, but speaking to your statement: I’m always amazed at the crappy state of even good apartments - everything is “just good enough” and since you can’t upgrade much of anything, it makes life just that much more annoying. I miss my house... and I spent VERY little

My wife (44H, IIRC) has had great success at Nordstrom (not Rack). She typically gets Wacoal or Elomi branded ones and though they cost more, they last WAY longer than anything from Lane Bryant and the like, and she says they’re far more comfortable. I keep telling her to go ahead with them, as you use them all the

It is EVERYONE’S responsibility to follow the rules of the roadway. a red light at a crosswalk does NOT give the pedestrian ANY right to leave the curb, yet, I see it ALL THE TIME in NYC on my short walk for 5 blocks from Penn Station. Cars have to literally dodge and weave around these idiots who think they own the

Not bad at all. Still should have pulled him completely over and told the driver why they were pulled over. I can bet the ignorant appliance driver didn’t “understand” why the event happened and promptly forgot about it.

Exactly - I was going to say that our first-gen Mercury Sable had this. It was so cool to watch the snow fall and melt away without sticking... crazy. Never had to deal with the windshield replacement myself, but I expect the insurance covered it at one point, at least. Wonderful little feature...

The biggest issue I have with renting is the relatively-reduced quality of life (assuming you can do some minor/basic home improvements - if you can’t you can easily learn at Home Depot and Lowes).

Agreed: I had a chip in my windshield and I watched it grow due to the defroster one winter. It was pretty cool to see, but clearly it was not “caused” by the defroster and cold weather.

I’m an engineer and I certainly don’t collect stats on “torque ratios”. Torque ratio is simply the gear ratio... there is no need to take it one step further into torque ratio at all, unless the speaker is just trying to sound smart.
