I see what you mean, and I find myself frustrated with similar parts of the show. I think it's interesting you drew parallels to SATC, because one positive over that show is Carrie was often the (self-induced) victim of her relationship w Big while Abby has always maintained control in her relationship w Jake.

We have seen Luisa be jealous of Alison with Cole, but it's been from Alison's POV so who knows? They're exes, they've known each other their whole lives, they're current business partners, and now they have a[nother] child together… That's a lot to be reasonable about.
