And many are in opposition of birth control which would prevent pregnancies anyway. Soooo, what is this really about? (I ask facetiously)

I bet it was the office secretary.
“this does not represent who I am in my heart”
You are on it!
You are correct. The US learned one important lesson from WW2. War is profitable and a great source of income for the 1%. We did not learn the lessons of compassion nor an adversity to fascism. Few will complain about the billions of dollars spent on warfare but will complain loudly about the measly millions it would…
To the Grey: seeing your child every two weeks is not justification for setting your child on fire. The fact that this man saw this as a rational response to not having custody, to burn his child alive, suggests that he was not a responsible parent to begin with. Enough of this MRA, if he had only been given what he…
That is not love. It is about possession and control.
One thing keeps bothering me. In the earlier season, season one or two, where the Nightswatch is camped north of the wall. The incest family (all women) one man, give (sacrifice?) all the male children to the Night King. We specifically see a blue-skinned, blue-eyed baby surviving in the arms of the Night King. I…
Oh! Oh! Oh! And by the way, since Bran can see through the eyes of Crows that he sent out during the battle of the long night, why didn’t he tell them what was going on at King’s Landing.
At least if they were going to have Starbucks they could have put it in an insulated chalice.
I am mad an-ger-ry about this episode. First of all, let me tell you, how da hell you going to march on your enemy and not send out scouts. Second, with as mad as people in King’s Landing were at Cercei, how the hell did not Varys get one of his “little birds” to peep the action and prep at King’s Landing and report…
We have now entered the Zaphod Breeblebox universe role of the presidency. The role of the president is to distract from the those who actually rule the universe.
The entire purpose of the conservatives is to pass legislation and place conservative judges so that we have a democratic republic in name only. Don the con is a distraction for the conservatives (Republicans) to pass their agenda while we are distracted by the circus that is the presidency.
OH. MY. GOD. I just had this very conversation today with my mother. Black people get blamed for every democratic loss even though; we make up roughly 13% of the population, have lost votes through mass incarceration, gerrymandering, and voter suppression, to name a few reasons, we are still responsible for any…
In Biden’s world, to apologize is a sign of weakness. Biden will not forgo decades of habit to appear weak on the campaign trail. Even if the acknowledgement that his personal habits would allow him to gain respect with other groups and help begin the first steps of restoration to those he wronged.
Or maybe, stay with the paranoia here..., maybe the DA is bringing charges that will result in securing donation pledges from these families for his/her re-election campaign. And mayyyyybeeee those charges will be dropped or minimized once those pledges are secured.
This article was a wonderful read. It is also on my must share list. You have laid out a very clear and cogent argument about “economic anxiety”. Citing this article, it would be difficult to argue about the embeded disparities in citing white economic anxiety.
Tessa Thompson’s Independent Spirit Award’s dress is everything I want to be right now!
I coveted his look the first moment I laid eyes on it. As a female, I found his look to be self affirming and dramatic. His travels down the red carpet made me feel for, a short period of time, that the world could be a better place.
apropos, apropros...
