Andrew Garfield wasn’t the problem with his Amazing Spider-Man movies. For some reason Sony had to hand the reins to Marvel Studios and make complicated IP sharing arrangements for concepts like “write a good script” and “cast the villains memorably.”

My stray observations:

For all the talk of Westerns, what I see here is a Biblical epic. So far, Boba’s backstory is pure Joseph—he’s left to die in a desert pit, but escapes, is stripped of his Amazing Technicolor armor, enslaved by a nomadic tribe and eventually proves his worth to a chieftain. Couple all that with the episode title from

Is it me or the Tusken that fight Bobba Fett is female Tusken. Did they end up sleeping together? And yes Fett’s cloth and gaffi stick definitely belongs to that Tusken Raider.

“And yet I can’t help but hope that this isn’t the new standard for all Star Wars entertainment going forward.”

top 3 mcu movie for sure, AND knocked out Spiderverse for #1 Spidey movie.

Reviews of Spider-Man stuff leave me feeling like I’m the only person in the world that likes the team up aspect of the MCU version.  Will Spider-Man ever get a solo outing?  YES! He had five of them already!  Spider-Man, setting the 90s prevalence of Wolverine aside, has always been the ultimate buddy superhero,

His character was hilarious, and the point of the show appears to be Peacemaker realizing that fascism is, in fact, bad.  Hope this helps!

Because Peacemaker as written by James Gunn, and this series, are direct satires of those people and of America in general?

John Cena is the Chris Pratt of the Dwayne Johnsons.

You’re an extremely unintelligent person.

I just don’t know how any of us who have never been on either side of a shooting incident where someone died can begin to think they understand his frame of mind. I can only guess that having someone killed in front of you due to your actions or the failure of someone else, unexpectedly, suddenly, must be shattering.

Only two comments to get to the Nazi comparison, bravo.

Reilly didn’t stand a chance once she turned the beam his way...

This was such a welcome change of pace compared to the previous episodes. They made the unfortunate decision to make Maya, a villain?, into a cooler, more bad ass, more sympathetic character than Kate Bishop. I was expecting Kate to be this fun to watch fight, and I maintain that the title sequence is a LIE, at least

HA - Brilliant!

However, they still believe Bert is the Unibrower.

Fat man autoparts, not so subtle.

I can barely remember Game of Thrones. Or rather, I remember it, but I can barely remember my mindset at the time that GoT so utterly dominated the pop culture space. For something that felt so huge and monumental at the time it’s just... gone now. With so many platforms and options to choose from it’s probably one of

Agree. Last week and this week was a bounty of Emmy reel for MacFayden.
