Haha okay now that I have slept I realize it wasn’t maybe not the BEST comparison, but you only ever hear “telly” from Brits so it sort of conveys the specific accent it gives my name and makes it seem much less abrupt.

Kelly has troubled a lot of us with this statement, clearly. Kel-leh? Kel-yah?
But, I will not live in a society where only the police and the military/government are armed.
I’ve lived in the UK and wouldn’t be surprised. I remember regularly being asked whether the Netherlands were a monarchy or a republic, and most people thought Amsterdam was the name of the country. Can hardly blame them, because there was hardly any news about events outside of the UK. It truly is an island.
Then what, prey tell, is the rest of the constitution for exactly?
XD Pretty much my reaction too. Does this woman honestly think the other royals don’t exist? :P
You need guns to protect civilians from the tyranny of the government.
“I don’t get why this is even a question”
They definitely showed the armed security. Perhaps they didn’t show the weapons (I can’t remember), but you could tell they were armed based on their stance.
You know what the broadcasted version of this somehow managed to avoid showing? The armed security. Which is front and center in your photo. Watching the TV, I was a bit freaked out because it looked like it would be so easy for some loon to just take a potshot at these people.
I’m surprised you’re still with us frankly.
I once ate at McDonalds on Slough high street, and it was possibly one of the darkest moments of my life.
I camped out with a bunch of friends outside of Buckingham Palace for Will & Kate’s wedding, and it truly was SO fun and so festive, everyone’s in such a great mood even when you’re laying on the ground freezing in the middle of the night next to a bunch of strangers. Bummed I couldn’t afford to do it this time…
Yay! I have been waiting for this! If I had the cash to go to England for this, I totally would have. So glad you got to experience this excitement firsthand & that you passively decided to camp out overnight.
The logic twisting is beyond bizarre. We have to love, respect, and obey law enforcement and our military (see: “Philando would be alive if he’d just obeyed the officer” B.S., but they must be armed to be able to defend themselves against the gubmit (and therefore, shoot soldiers and law enforcement) at any given time.
This always confused me, too, but recently the mainstream gun nuts have started telling the truth: it is a citizen’s DUTY to be armed to the teeth so that they can overthrow the government if necessary. It’s just the “good guy with a gun” ego fantasy taken to the ultimate extreme.
Subscribing to her general life adventures, please.
Being Canadian makes it all the more baffling to watch the US fight for gun control go nowhere. Unless you’re hunting bears or something, what does anyone need a gun for??
Don’t forget - Blue Lives Matter - except those that talk about gun control...
