My understanding as a layman is the current thoughts on ibuprophen are “it COULD damage your liver with prolonged high doses when used for hangovers” compared to Tylenol which is more like “if you took Tylenol for a hangover before reading this the damage is done”.
Serious note here: DO NOT take Tylenol for hangovers, or things that include Tylenol, the list of which includes any drug ever created that is not called “ibuprophen”. Excedrine, midol, most cough-and-cold medicines, all off limits.
