It’s a way to ensure that nepotism beats out meritocracy; these kinds of internships already go to children of well-connected parents, not paying interns just ensures that there’s no chance that someone who’s poor will be able to get these jobs.

JM is a fantastic blues guitarist and you’re doing yourself a disservice if you only judge him by the crappy pop music he puts out to finance his pet projects. I get serious SRV vibes from him when he goes all bluesy.

If you don’t have a rice cooker, buy one! Even the cheap ones work really well! I bought one 5 years ago from Wal-Mart for 12 bucks, and have used it 3-4 times a week since then. It still works great! It’s one of the best investments for your kitchen.
