I won't have a pop at you, you calmly explained what you did and didn't like about fighting games. I think one factor is, people tend to like to watch things that they like to play. Another thing is ease of play and available options; one reason I'm an advocate of slightly more simplistic fighting games. With

I think you're right when you say that the skills involved are hard to see. A lot of casual observers will walk by, get impressed by a combo or two, and then kinda just waver off and lose interest.

Fighting games aren't as big like this because the skill gap is always MUCH wider. Generally in fighting games you have "skill lines" like

Just to add to that, while it was clear that Piglet and Faker did very well to win the game for their team, its important to understand that it was a team effort in the end. They couldn't have done that without all 5 members of the team working together to achieve victory.

It's a competitive game. If you consider sport only activities with high physical requirements, you might not consider this a sport and thats fine. Though as you might have guessed, top players in this also have superior agility, precision and reflexes to regular players so that could count as physical requirements

It's better with friends, you can also meet people along the way, like any other game. To me this game is just an RTS, the general principles are the same, you go for objectives,

There is some futuristic shit going on right now that im not sure im ready for. I feel like the subject of those hypothetical questions about "what if someone from the 1700s what brought into the present? would their head explode?" I feel like that guy from the 1700s right now.

As you wish (I apologize if this is really long, but I've never had a venue to explain these thoughts before). So I am pretty involved in the slot machine industry, which has always been viewed separately from the video game industry in many ways, though they have had some common roots for some time, especially with

The interactivity was a massive part of making Journey as special as it is.
If you were watching a film, two characters cheeping at each other and you not having any clue what either was saying wouldn't be that entertaining.
They would either have to give a voice and dialogue to one of the characters or make the cheeps

I've infiltrated their ranks successfully. They believe me to be one of their own. It appears they report to a leader who is referred to as Chicken of the Sea in their native language. That's all I've learned so far. Two of them may be onto me. I'll need to silence them tonight before my assignment is discovered.

:D

Boy, you're an annoying one aren't you. Bet you're fun at parties.
