Why would they be annoying? They look pretty damn good and they barely do anything to you. Pop a Rad-Away if you get too much radiation, and considering I have like 200 radaway after a little while, it’s really no big deal. In a pretty disappointing game, Glowing Sea and Rad Storms are very welcome.

It’s something we’ve talked about—I clear out the comments below The Bests posts every so often, so I see the readers who feel we should limit our lists to exclusives! The ultimate goals of The Bests posts are twofold: Primarily to provide a helpful list of recommendations for anyone who just got a new console and

The assumption is, because of an episodic structure, the player will be focused into the plot-critical moments instead of allowing for the extensive build-up and ambiance that makes the JRPG experience great to begin with. By this press release, they’re essentially telling us they have no interest in a full remake;

I can’t help but feel as though you barely touched on the main point their statement (and your emphasis) was trying to get across.
They’re concerned about further expectations that new players also sit in a sandbox and practice absolutely everything involved in the game rather than actually playing the game itself,

Join Burrito, Enchilada and Chimichanga on this all new adventure...

Or just skip said filler?

We need to have a serious conversation about the level of toxicity in gaming culture. From the swatting to GamerGate, gaming has become a pretty inhospitable place if you wanted to go past casual interest. Any suggestions on how we can minimize toxicity (while simultaneously maintaining competition — which is not a

This is an old comment, and you probably don't use this account anymore. BUT! You can play Dungeon Keeper! GoG.com sells it for $5 and it is pre packaged with DOSBox so it will run on any computer :) http://www.gog.com/game/dungeon_k…

...why is this being posted now? I hate to be that "OLD NEWZ GUYS!" but this has been examined so many times already, and the games shown in the above banner image are pretty old at this point (and that's just their boxart, the games themselves feature varying color palettes).

I go with what I call the "Chore Factor". Does a game include such things as dailies, endless grinding to slow down how quickly you level, items that require months of work just to make 1 part of it. They're not fun, they're chores. I don't work all day to come home to a game that "requires" all my spare time to

"We had two bags of gysahl greens, seventy-five pieces of phoenix down, five hi-powered elixirs, a saltshaker half-full of smelling salts, and a whole galaxy of multi-colored hypers, tranquilizers, eye drops, echo screens... Also, a quart of remedy, a quart of holy water, a case of potions, a pint of raw ether, and

I was just about to talk about that portion of the manga, glad you mentioned it. As much as I love the stuff from before the farm/slave arc, that arc is what really solidified the series for me. I think the series really comes into its own there, showing a truly mature assessment of the main character through his

This article tries to come across as, "Ooh! Look at me, I'm so clever!" The problem with that is that this isn't a new idea that is being played out as we watch; It's part of a larger story that's been around for awhile. Anyone can check the Wiki (like the one you linked to which cites the source of the information).

WTF is wrong with you guys at Kotaku?!

This is horrifying!

Pretty fucking thick. "Oh yeah, we've released the entire Final Fantasy series many times over to massive sales in NA, the most popular SNES games of all time were JRPGs like Chrono Trigger, FF6, Fire Emblem, and Earthbound, the PS1 took off in the United States almost solely due to Final Fantasy 7, and became a

Sadly, this movie looks like it's gonna have the same problem as all the others (well, I never watched 3, but I imagine it had that problem too), which is that the fights end way too quickly.
