Or Warren, who’s exactly the same as Clinton demographically but much better liked.

Explain Johnson.
Unless they somehow nominate Trump, I can’t think of any selection that would trip that caveat.
I think you need to brush on the difference between relative and absolute.
The percentage Trump got were somewhere between slightly and significantly higher, depending on the minority group. The absolute number was likely the same or lower, as Clinton’s turnout was abysmal.
I mean, yeah, it’s a percentage. Most of his gains were due to much of the denominator staying home.
I never said it was an accurate perception
Honestly, I’m just tired of Mississippi being surprised that it has the Mississippi and Florida being surprised that it has the Florida Peninsula every goddamn year.
I think it might also be that they didn’t think 2016's female WASP aristocrat was any different from 2012's Mormon WASP aristocrat.
I don’t think the movement was in those quarters, though. It seems like Clinton’s big problem was in the places Romney lost because of in 2012. Considering that Romney and Clinton were aristocrats with reputations for not having any desires beyond ambition while both Obama and Trump are known as self-made and very…
I like the idea that one person not voting is his fault, millions not voting is the candidate’s fault, but no.
And that, kids, is why you shouldn’t trust a memory given to rounding error, as I rememberd it as five and ten.
I suppose another good example would be “putin clinton,” which produces an absolutely dazzling collection of doofy fake smiles. He’s clearly thinking “smile for the dumn Americans, they love that.” His not smiling at Obama is either a show of active dislike/contempt, buy-in on the Obama is Spock reputation, or…
At the end of the day, Trump won because a whole lot of Obama voters from all races didn’t vote for Clinton. Hell, Trump did unusually well with black voters, getting roughly double the percentage of the electorate as Romney, and Hispanics.
I mean, at the end of the day Barkley is just as qualified to do policy and media analysis as any other athlete.
I mean, you’d still have people expecting everyone else to pay for their choosing to live under water.
Should, instead of flood insurance subsidy, we instead invest in better building codes or re-modeling existing homes to ‘build them up’ to a more appropriate height considering they are in a flood zone?
Of course, the program was written based on the assumption that regulators would use the provision allowing them to withhold the payment unless the recipient rebuilt with adequate flood protection or moved somewhere less idiotic, but we and the regulators know how that would play out in the media and congress, so…
Or Russians are just really icy. They think of smiling the way Americans think of kissing. Watch Melania interact with the public with that in mind, as it’s hilarious to see her remember that she’s in America every so often.
There’s a bit of a conflation of several eras in this writeup. Early soviets, having only seen blacks in the form of race records and minstrel products, held the stereotype of musicality and expected black people to look like blackface. After the second world war, they started bringing in African foreign/exchange…
