Oh just wait until Friday when they have their superbowl parade.
Oh just wait until Friday when they have their superbowl parade.
It’s not without risks. A Temple college student got killed a few weeks back climbing a light pole to do the same thing. Of all the things to lose a child to ....
It isn’t really that bad. If you have thin skin and can’t take people yelling at you, then sure. And if you get yelled at and then escalate, sure. But overall, it is par for the course in any sports stadium for the most part. I have seen shitty fan behavior at pretty much any stadium that I have been to. Some are more…
And knowing there’ll be video evidence against you from every possible angle...
I remember being this stupid in college, and embarrassed to admit it. But even in college I was more on the sidelines watching than actively destroying shit.
Waiting for the breathless essays about white culture and the lack of morals from broken family systems leading to this senseless violence and rioting. I’m sure that those will be coming any minute now from Fox, National Review, etc.
I had a serious football fan tell me he’d never go to a game in Philly, that it’s too dangerous. I guess this is what he’s talking about.
What the fuck is wrong with these people. Great job destroying your own city. Sports fans are clowns, change my mind.
When I took my MSF course the 2nd time (lost my M endorsement to one state that didn’t have reciprocity for them), there was an older woman in the class who was a first time rider who decided to try something she had always wanted to. Good for her!
There may be no significant benefits but you’re also forgetting the average owner of one of these shitboxes is also a selfish asshole and the MUH FAMBLY shit is just an excuse to be an asshole. This shit isn’t going to stop until we start yanking licenses for dangerous driving, and I’m not holding my breath.
The number one thing people can do to avoid a fatality is actively drive. This mean being focused on the task at hand, being alert to what is going on around you. I would venture a guess that most fatalities are a result of inattentive driving in one form or another. I drive a few thousand miles a month and have not…
For christ sake, just buy all season tires. Everyone in Minnesota runs them. No one runs snow tires since the 1970s!!!
1000% this. Driving in a fresh rain on a CA freeway is like driving in freezing rain on the east coast.
Also, if the water is deep enough to splash (versus just spray), you’re probably fine. Just don’t freak out when you feel a little tug on the wheel.
You forgot the first and best tip....GO THE FUCK BACK TO CALIFORNIA!!!
Also note: a (big) rain presents the most dangerous road conditions at the beginning of the event - as oils and debris disperse across the road, before they are eventually washed away through gutters and drains. This phenomena is most evident the longer the dry spell before the rain.
Your friends ain’t lying to you. All of these are good practices to follow when driving on wet roads.
It certainly doesn’t help that many people in these behemoths treat them like sports cars or smaller cars anyways. Listen linda or whoever I saw the other day in the big Tahoe, who’s forehead was barely visible above the steering wheel; You’re vehicle is too big to be making 30 point turns because you missed your turn…
