Hand someone a check, and the recipient has your name, address, bank account number, and signature (and possibly phone number/SSN) and they didn’t have to hack into your bank’s server to get the information. 

Check fraud is far more common than credit card or ACH or wire fraud, combined. Checks are the rotary phone to the ACH smartphone. They’re outdated and should be abandoned entirely because of their oversized negatives.

It boggles my mind that paper checks are still a thing.
