Rule 8: If this is your first time at Fight Club, you have to fight.

It’s in the region of Magadan made famous by Ewan McGregor’s Long Way Round. The vast emptiness of Russia is astounding.

Its like as soon as everybody graduated highschool, they got a BS in journalism then threw proofreading out the fucking window because the smart phone does it FOR you now, right?

Yea, not the first i-write-with-my-phone-and-never-edit-my-own-writing “autocorrect” induced error. Certainly not on jalopnik. Hell, it happens on politico and axios too.

“A year after mysterious drones spent weeks buzzing over a U.S. Military installation Pentagon officials still are sure where they came from..”

Good to know they are still sure where they came from after a year

Is there anyone thinking that this ISN’T China?

Well it seems like the bus is, at least partly, going the wrong direction (at least a little sideways), so I’m sure Toyota is fine with it.

Remember that time on Jalopnik a few weeks ago when EV’s were doomed and auto makers were better off cancelling all of their EV programs?

Mostly, I think the answer is that you know EXACTLY what you’re doing here. This is an entire writeup built out of the premise of “WHY DO PEOPLE LIKE THINGS THAT I DON’T LIKE?!”

Please tell me what I’m missing because, clearly, I’m missing something here.

There is an answer. It is very controversial and seems to upset a lot of people, particularly on the internet. I’ll probably be hunted down and doxxed into oblivion for even hinting at it, but here we go:

Because its a cool car from a great movie

It’s simple it’s for fans, you are not a fan therefore it is not for you. That said Doc making a time machine out of a Delorean, which everyone knew back then was a shit car, WAS the whole joke, Marty even says as much to Doc when he’d like “You made a time machine out of a Delorean?!” line in the movie. He took a car

Well said.

Hi. Gen X here. This entire article is why Boomers say Millennials are dipshits.

The only issue I had with the video is when John Oliver recommended no longer targeting vehicles with expired plates or expired registration.

Any Chevy. GM’s interiors in general are a joke, but Chevy in particular makes you feel like you’re sitting in a product designed for a developing market. I don’t want to pay US car prices for an Indonesian driving experience.

Kia dealers really do suck.
The cars are actually fine, comparatively (our ‘12 Sorento is going on 250k miles). But that dealership experience is abysmal.

Stellantis and their propaganda, I swear they get their ideas from watching the government officials in the “Chernobyl” special.

Losing jobs due to technical advancements is a story as old as the industrial revolution. Look at this picture compared to the lead one and see how many workers lost their jobs from robots.

I live in Asheville. Our airspace has been filthy with helicopters of all types for a week and a half. We have search and rescue, medivac, blackhawks, and chinooks carrying hummvees. They are a constant presence.
