Why people write Selma???
It was! I never knew it was what would become A&E! I just remember the jarring difference in programming. I was 7 years old in 1984. I had never seen a station “sign off”.It just stopped showing Turkey TV and started showing this weird Opera with sign language interpreters.
That was A&E, back when that stood for Arts & Entertainment!
“Hey Arnold!” was/is great, glad you mentioned it. One of the best parts was the variety and diversity of characters. Everybody had their own problems they had to work through, kids and adults, but it never felt generic or contrived. A more adult version of “Hey Arnold!” Is “Mission Hill” and I really wish that show…
It’s been a while since I’ve seen any of that stuff, but I watched a lot of it in middle and high school. I feel like Zim and Doug have the best chance of still being fun to watch in 2018. I think they’re actually bringing Zim back for a new movie. Which seems reasonable, considering that if that show launched now, Gir…
I really hope it doesn’t replace what they have on hulu
I remember loving Pinwheel and Turkey Television and YCDTOT. I also remember a time before Nick at Nick. After 5pm PST, Nick became this really weird opera channel.
It better be hosted by Stick Stickly and Face or GTFO.
Oh look another specialized streaming service that could’ve been licensed out to Amazon, Hulu, or Netflix, probably for way more money than they’ll bring in on their own. Best of luck, I guess, but that’s still a no from me.
Still better than the nostalgia for shitty cartoons from the 70s and 80s that were just toy shilling.
It’s kinda hit or miss for me. Doug doesn’t hold up for me nearly as well as I thought but I still think Are You Afraid of the Dark is a kickass kid’s horror show.
The article didn’t mention Hey Arnold! but that one holds up pretty well imo, at least in the sense of not talking down to kids and tackling issues. It…
Myself, I'm less about "nostalgia" and more about " my tastes have remained the same for the last 20 years"
Wonder why they didn’t go back to calling it Snick if they were aiming it at the nostalgia crowd.
I’m a fan of Star Wars, and its fandom’s omission from this list is ridiculous.
Shame that Tarantino and Rick and Morty have to meet so early as both have potential to go deep. Elon Musk looks to dominate the other bracket.
This is a little pretentious of me but I do hate office fans. Specifically new office fans. I watched it when it was first on and I just feel like I’ve had the same conversations about the office or seen the same quotes shared on facebook a million times. I love the show and it’s great that new people are always…
I am the world’s worst fanbase.
Presumably, the winner in the end will be STAR WARS which, even without actually being included in the bracket at all, will push its way into the forefront by force of sheer obnoxiousness.
