Did they ever clarify whether or not he’s an alien? The show was surprisingly coy about it, and I feel like it’s a defining part of his motivation. If he’s human...then the whole thing is WAY more interesting.

I see what you are saying but Lex’s return is so personal for LENA that I think I really like it, plus I really like how it makes other chips fall into place like Miss Tessmacher, James’s history, and (I hope I hope I hope) the return of Clark and Lois

I am torn because I really like David Ajala as Manchester & his storyline in this episode was incomprehensible so I don’t feel like he should really be dead, but if they don’t have a better plan for the character at this point maybe that is for the best.

I’m with Caroline on the Manchester/J’Onn material. I barely understand any of what is going on there.

That’s the part of this whole story that still dumbfounds me... Her dad is the douche that lied to his parents about GOING TO USC and instead cashed the checks to build his brand because school was a waste of his time, so natch when it comes to his own kid, instead of letting her BUILD HER BRAND BECAUSE SCHOOL IS A

I don’t feel bad for her. However, I question the decision to lie to get her into college in the first place. I mean, WHY BOTHER? She’s got a makup line, successful sponsor deals, is a pretty popular vlogger and “influencer” - why the hell should she bother with college right now? It’s not like she can’t go get her

You go right on ahead and feel bad for her. I’ll be over here figuring out how to keep my bipolar 15 year old alive and hoping against hope that our insurance continues to pay for her new $1000+/month medication. I have no fucking energy to care about some attractive 18 year old with obscenely rich parents. Fuck that.

YEP she’ll be just fucking fine because we live in hell.

Probably an unpopular opinion. But I kind of feel bad for her she didn’t even want to go to college she said before her parents pressured her. And although she was complicit the adults in the room thought this was a good idea and funded it. At that age I would do anything my mom wanted.

Grad School at an Ivy. Had to TA undergrads. Sucks that you got clobbered early on, but sounds like you earned the hell out of the Magna Cum Laude if your grades were that much improved over your cohort that had better college prep.

I am of course assuming you didn’t major in some rocks for jocks program.  I didn’t go

The idea that they’re playing innocent when they were literally told “hey, you’re being admitted to USC on the Crew team, but it’s not like you’re really going to do that” boggles my mind.

A million times this. Assuming this young man’s statement is sincere, he seems like a decent kid whose shitty mom thought “supporting” him meant buying his way into a fancy college, instead of you know, actually supporting him. I work in the world of fancy LA private schools and see this shit all the time—parents who

Yep, her email is awful. If she’ll say that in public to another person, what is she saying to him in private?

I do not believe him, or any of the other children of the corn. Who takes the SAT at home? Who sits in a private room to take the SAT with a proctor feeding you answers? Who gets a letter offering you an athletic admission and doesn’t say, ummm, I don’t row? It didn’t occur to any of them that you know, something is

OK. This handwriting. This mocking parent. Let’s just, for the moment, assume he doesn’t have a learning disability.

According to an article in the Wash. Post by Gabrielle Bluestone - “Jane Buckingham, accused of paying someone to take the ACT for her son and then asking for a copy of the exam to administer to him at home so he would think he’d really taken the test.” I actually feel for this kid with a mother like that.

Some of the kids did take the exam, and their parents had their test papers subbed or a different score sent back in another way. I dunno if that applies to this particular guy though.

Yeah uh..That’s not how privilege works. HE can’t say anything, Stephanie Clifford (Alias Stormy Daniels) can break privilege for whatever reason she pleases.

I hate to say it, but that’s not how privilege works.

if those two crazy kids couldn’t make their relationship last, than what chance do the rest of us have?
