People keep saying that it’s “just there to make a statement”. The same could’ve been said about Black Panther. Except, watching this movie, I’ve seen as many people who say it doesn’t delve DEEPLY enough into it’s message of feminism. So, what is the truth? You sound like you’re already set against liking it anyways,

Hey, I know I got what I paid for. ultimately I got to see a gorilla and a shark-man fight. Any problems I had are minor when put in the light of that awesome fact.

If you’re coming to the Arrowverse expecting critical thinking (or even bare minimum plot consistency), you’re going to be disappointed.

If you don’t want to use it as a weapon, don’t tell the government you have it.

I actually didn’t mind them having a dialogue about weaponizing the cure because I at least appreciated they were going to have it. At the same time, Barry did seem kind of gung-ho to force the cure on King Shark long before he was about to eat Cisco and the writers never really gave a reason for it. My real issue was

Now granted, I was already two glasses of wine in when the episode started, but more of this please show. That was delightful all the way around. Though having said that, yes, placing Grodd in a coma instead of punting him to another alternate dimension did seem a little harsh.

I would love it if King Shark wore Hawaiian-print style swim trunks (and maybe sunglasses?)

It was pure silliness.

The trolling in the royal fandom has been intense lately. A lot of it fueled by all the ridiculous stories that came out last fall. I still think Prince Andrew and/or Princess Michael were behind the press leaks. The stupid story about the emerald tiara was just too obvious.

Compounding this are the still persistent race-fueled attacks on the now pregnant Duchess of Sussex, who has been the target of racists since news broke that she and Prince Harry were dating.

Intense Michael Jackson fans are out in force lately, they put Putin to shame in their attempted influence campaigns.

Stockholm Syndrome, more or less.

You can buy ultra filtered milk now that has 50% less sugar.

I didn’t realize oats were mammals

This is a good point in some respects. On the other hand, the Smollet story was dominating the news cycle when it was still widely seen as a credible attack. It was front page news everywhere. Obviously, given that massive degree of visibility, when the whole thing turns out to be a hoax, it’s going to generate as

You didn’t see “Morning Joe” today.  Believe me, they were talking about that white-nationalist shitheel and Trump’s encouragement of the behavior a LOT.

The take away from this shouldn’t be that we shouldn’t believe victims. We 100% should especially because there are exponentially more actual cases than false cases.

We all got played but I love how the media is spending more time on a B List celebrity faking violence related to Trump and his MAGA hat wearing Chud’s than the arrest of a member of The US Coast Guard who admits he’s a white nationalist with a hit list of journalists and politicians who are predominately of color and

As sad as this is, I’m not going to apologize for believing him for so long.
