My weird trick....recreate the sensation of falling. Like jumping on a trampoline or swinging on a very large swing. It’s a similar sensation (to me) of falling asleep. The closer I get to sleep, the heavier the feeling is, and the easier to keep the sensation going.

I’m 20-30 lbs overweight; the initial goal was to lose that weight, but 3 months in and I haven’t lose any weight or inches. At this point I’m focusing on being healthy and working out 5+ days a week.

I WANT to try to benchpress/squat machine, but a lot of people have told me the same thing, that free weights is the

Thanks. Someone also recommended Darebee.com which is AMAZING.

In this case, no one was at the machine and the weights were left on. I was STILL afraid to use it!

*three guys haha I have gyms on the brain.

Community center. Though it should be courtesy 101 anywhere. I thought the community center would have less dudebros, but there’s only one machine for the bench press/squats and usually three gyms circle it like vultures.

Only 45? It’s enormous. And I’d hate to struggle to take it off and look like an idiot.

I want to hit the machine at the gym, but it’s too scary! And I don’t want to die taking off the 100+ lbs the big guys put on and then only lift with the barbell.

Three months in, I’m at the “super discouraged” phase. I like my new routine, I like my new diet, but I can’t see any changes.

I charge mine when I take a shower. That usually keeps it going. Otherwise I choose one night it doesn’t matter I know how well I slept (a Friday night, for example).

I didn’t know you lived in Utah. And I thought that was the capital of Mormonism, and I thought polygamy for males (one guy, lots of ladies) was part of the religion.

Unfortunately, and I know it’s not an easy solution, but moving to a more progressive city/state would probably be the best option. That goes for

Polygamy is an option that has been around for awhile and is gaining a lot of ground in mainstream society.

Not to mention that if you are the partner at home while the other is in the military, you are considered the biggest asshole in history for cheating on them. I learned in the last two weeks what a “Jodi” is and how big of a deal that is.

This is how I feel. You can’t enter a monogamous relationship, cheat on them, and then declare polygamy, or “we’re not wired that way! I had to!” Be honest from the start. I can’t imagine anything more painful that my partner could choose to do than cheat on me.

After reading everyone’s responses today, I’m starting to think circuit training might help, like the article suggests. I have a WiiFit game, I think I’ll replicate the workouts on that!

I’ve used real butter for a long time. I gave up on low fat, no fat, substitution type stuff because it hurt my stomach. (and tastes better, of course!) I like avocados but I can always find more. Nuts are probably the missing component to my diet!

Weight loss/fat loss is my primary goal. I use weightlifting on my “off” days and to round out which muscles I work out.

That means 63g for me (175#) Isn’t that a lot?

Do you have a preferred foam roller workout? I looked on youtube and balked at the million results.

I’ve started running, but I run a sad, sad 13.5 minute mile. I can’t keep a pace and I’m doing a couch to 5k variation where I do walk/run drills.

For my diet, my problem right now is that I’m hungry all the time. I need to find foods that are the most filling for the calories. I’m a beginner runner so I’m doing the Zombie 5k app, so I’m pretty much doing intervals now. In the weights, I’ve increased from two sets of ten to three sets of ten. I was going to
