Ah I see! I think the machines I use are isolation type. Bicep, back, shoulder, etc. I’ll pay more attention next time!
Took measurements. Not moving.
Because I complain about calories, some of my friends thought I was starving myself. I was like, ah ha no. Quite the contrary.
Had this convo with a friend. As someone who always has good BP, it’s difficult to tell any difference. I don’t have more energy and I don’t sleep better. I want to see some quantifiable results, gosh darn it!
I do pan fried asparagus with olive oil and sea salt. Mmmmmmm.
Fat loss. I lift on the days I don’t do intense cardio (but I usually do a light cardio after lifting). It was to help build muscle to help burn calories, and also something to do on days I ache from running!
I know, I only weigh myself once a week. The waistline isn’t going down either! >:( I may not have had enough work out intensity (I’m terrible at running and skyrockets my heart rate, but maybe circuit training will be better)
I swear I’m not trying to starve myself! And I’ve increased my water intake from zilch to ~48oz (I can’t get past that!)
I have changed my diet too! First thing I learned was you “can’t outrun your fork.” I haven’t done drastic changes like keto or paleo, but I’ve cut out soda, replaced sugary snacks with healthier alternatives (low fat string cheese, more fruit, hardboiled eggs) and increased veggies (I could probably do better here).…
Foam rolling! What is this magical thing that people keep talking about?
I added running after several weeks of weight lifting and elliptical didn’t have results. It’s really difficult to be two months in and not seeing much results.
Thanks for this! I’ve been working out for two months and I’m not seeing results. I run two to three times a week and weightlift twice (with added cardio afterwards). Maybe these workouts will work better!
It would be rather impossible not to use “it” or “is”; and as for “said”, I’m on the side that says”kill adverbs/adjectives” leaves you with a weird tone. (And for 300 pages? Goodness.)
I was excited when I saw this but it’s not really helpful.
This app was really strict to the point of being useless. I posted a blurb from my Nano and it flagged every “said/say” and “it” “is” “were” “was” and “there.” And they synonyms were completely wrong to the point of hilarity. Maybe it’s for non-fiction vs story?
I was feeling pretty good—until you got to the point about running doesn’t shed pounds. I’ve been hitting the gym for weight lifting + cardio twice a week for six weeks, and haven’t lost weight/inches. I started running (literally yesterday!) to help with that, but if that’s not going to help either.....
( I watch my…
It also doesn’t take into consideration that you WANT certain foods more after you start eating them. Sure, I want chips, but if I had one chip right now, it would be much harder to not finish the bag then it would have been to avoid it all together.
Plot of Crimson Peak (forgive me for not remembering exactly):
“It’s a ghost story.”
“No, it’s a story with a ghost in it. But it’s really just a metaphor for the past.”
Loved the movie. I never saw the trailer and went in knowing it was Tom Hiddleston in a gothic romance.

Not the worst but I always make a point of pre-ordering any game like Harvest Moon, Rune Factory, Fantasy Life, etc because stores rarely keep many copies in stock. I pre-ordered them at the same Game Stop every time, since it’s right next to my house. It was the third time that the employee muttered under his breath…
I like the drink idea the best!
